I didn’t mind Dinklebot, always thought that the problem was the lines and how they were edited together. The new ghost didn’t do a better job in my book.

I’m sure they will add voices, they did it before!

Generally, battlepasses shouldn’t be bought before you’ve completed it, or, at the very end.

So even if I was going to buy it, wouldn’t have been until the end of the grind, and that gives me plenty of time for my own reflections on it and “reviews” of others to take into consideration.

So yeah, with all the fillers, it’s not an attractive BP.

Could be both :stuck_out_tongue: as there’s a deep to deep left field and that’ll be 20 characters.

Yeah they should really learn fast to have all armor free in either battle passes or credit purchase in the store, with premium tracks or more expensive store items (currency, not credits) being variants of the base armor. Example being Recon and Recon-S

Agreed. I was sad when they scrapped him…

I assume you’ll be using gamepass to play the campaign then? Otherwise it’ll cost you plenty of dimes :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

In all seriousness yes this is a topic that’s been brought up a lot and even though it’s a free MP and they need to monitize it through microtransactions, I still believe there’s a shocking lack of free content, i hit level 30 in the pass yesterday and unlocked what non battlepass players would earn as their first new helmet.

[quote=“Sodium_Bath, post:16, topic:33714”] it’s
one thing to charge 10 bucks and give us a whole set of legacy armor pieces (for this season, it’s from Reach)
and it’s another to charge us 10 bucks and proceed to sell the other legacy armor pieces in the store.

Totally agree with this. I decided to spend $10 because it was the first season and thought would be nice being part of the “beta” MP but then I realized and that’s the sad part that first the seasons is full of XP and Swap challenges and we got CHARGED for armor that we had free en other games (Halo Reach, obviously, and in Halo 5 we got the Noble Teams sets for free) and I was spending money in this Seasopass was very disappointing.

unfortunately, the systems are designed to target whales. whales make your lack of payment irrelevant.

and there’s almost none for the mK VII all are for the MK V B

I understand it’s not perfect, and 343 definitely needs to add more free content, but the battle pass is probably one of the least broken aspects of their monetization scheme. I bought it for $10, but I will not pay $10 for “Blue” that is locked to a single armor core.

Even if I cared a little bit about customization…the fact that the progression of the BP and the challenge system itself basically disallows me to play how I want is reason enough why I’d never purchase one. Not even CoD is this stingy about BP progressions and that’s saying a lot given the company that runs that franchise lmao.

The challenge-based progression system has functionally broken all objective-based matchmaking. I’m usually the only person going for/protecting the flag, getting Oddball time, or grabbing power seeds. Everyone else is just running around trying to meet challenges.

343 managed to take one of the most iconic team shooters and turn it into revolving solo minigames.

Almost half the BP is XP boosts and challenge swaps. You’re just paying for consumables that allow you to boost XP so you can unlock more XP boosts…

Everything about this game is mundane and repetitive - even the BP.

pretty petty considering they gave you the game for FREE

A friend and I paid for the battlepass the moment the MP went live because we were under the assumption it was gonna work like the Flights.

Well, we made a mistake. Sad part is, even if we work our way up the pass, everything we get, everybody else has too and wearing it the same exact way we would. So we just look like everybody else. Every single “combo” I can try and make, they all look like me. I went into a game once and I didn’t know which was me until the names popped up cause 4 out of 4 players on the team dressed exactly the same.

Kinda wish I didn’t spend the $10 cause Default Mark VII with Cadet Grey seems to be the only way I can stand out most of the time while everyone else chases what little cosmetics they can get lmao.

You’re not wrong - I’m a patient and petty man.

I would have happily paid $60 for the game at launch and purchased any DLC on the day of release. Instead, they’ll get nothing from me.

Who wants to pay over $1,000 for content that would normally be included in a complete $60 game?

I’m a bit mixed about VII so far. Overall it’s not anything spectacular, but it is a very nice return to form as a progression of the mjolnir armor sets, rather than Spartans starting with the Recruit armor set in 4/5. It’s also set to get some nice armor options from events, such as the mk V helmet in the tactical ops week.

This should go down as more armor cores are made available, like how people are running around in the Yoroi core.

Remember those first few days when literally everyone was wearing the HCS red whiteand blue skin? Such an eyesore.

And players that want to will begin buying other armor sets from the store that they are more likely to use and enjoy, leaving you open to run the regular gear as you like.

I just came here to complain about the bulldog color and bundle. I spend $200 already in credits. I bought the $7 Red. Wit the medic pack. W T F. Why is the first weapon skin for a great gun in a ugly -Yoink!- baby blue wit yellow? 343 should give bungie a call or send a text and ask how to be visually creative and not monetarily oppressive

I still won’t go back to playing destiny though. There won’t be a witch queen if we don’t stop the banished :roll_eyes::roll_eyes:
