look, of u’d notice this is just abouts the 10th anniversary of halo, i know that this is possible, and 1000s of people have replied to comments on youtube saying that they want halo pc type multiplayer.
I just think it may be good to retern to the old pistol in multiplayer, while being bombed by a noob with an overshield and a rocket launcher, not noticeing that he has 10 seconds till he respawns with an assault rifle and no kills on the scoreboard.
i want it because it is possible, plus not much work is requred compaired to remaking the library

Actualy it could take up to a year to create the netcode for the game as it doesn’t have any online capabilities at all. This is one of the reasons 343 did not remake it, because they did not have enough time. They didn’t have enough man-power either as most of the team has been working on Halo 4 for the last year/2 years. I’d rather have the version Halo Anniversary that we have now than a version with multiplayer which A, Would have come out later meaning that it wouldn’t have come out on the 10th Anniversary of Halo and B, probably delay Halo 4.
Yes, it’s possible to remake it but it’s not going to happen.
Remaking the CE multiplayer would take too much time for CA/343i to actually make (no netcode, every map has to be remade, etc) and having CE multiplayer would end up splitting the fanbase between Reach and CEA, which isn’t what 343 wanted to do.

I think that they should have brought the Halo CE for PC maps back because they were awesome. I originally thought that I would never need to play Halo CE for PC again because I thought they would remake the good maps like Death Island or Infinity. Unfortunately I was wrong… big disapointment… X_X
WTF? Halo came out originally for the Xbox, not PC!! So why are you complaining it is not like the PC version? Flamethrower was never in the ORIGINAL Halo. Neither was the rocket hog, or the fuel rod cannon, or the Banshee in Blood Gulch. Halo on the PC wasn’t even MADE by Bungie, some no name company ported it to the PC.

ya that was the one good thing they did now we can play the best multiplayer on one disc 
I want Halo 4. I want something new and exiting.
Halo Combat Evolved was an amazing game for it’s time, but just like the games after it, it’s time to put it to rest.

There’s no reason to say they can’t just release a multiplayer only xbla at some point for the classic fans.
as i have stated in many sections on this topic, remaking the halo ce multi-player would have been bad for the players, and for 343i, it would splitt the people between reach and cea matchmaking, making it hard to find players on both, and with halo 4 just a year away, making the multi-player would make less play halo 4’s multi also, it would have been bad for everyone

I don’t. While the PC flamethrower was the -Yoink- I don’t think any attempt should have been made, either in Reach multiplayer or in some sort of more faithful remake, to revive what was even 10 years ago, crap. Don’t get me wrong, Halo 1 has a very special place in my heart but I’m not so far up my own nostalgic colon to fail to realize that what made the first game playable was the social setting only. The balance was terrible, the maps too simple for their own good, but that didn’t matter at the time because whatever the game itself lacked was made up for by friends, who could have equally made a rubber ball on a string a source of glorious entertainment.
Now though, you need something better than pistols on blood gulch because a matchmade group isn’t going to behave in the same amicable way as you and your chums did before ranks, stats, credits, and tea-bagging became the game. And so a “remake” is out of the question, as is any “classic” gametype which does more than simply back-track on Reach’s own stupidity, but also on the real progress that Halo 2 and 3 made as well.

At least the Fuel Rod was a nice addition to the game. Something we couldn’t do In the Original Halo. The Banshee in Blood Gulch seems reasonable to add on the Map.

you know, i just wanted a small to medium group of people to say to 343, that some time in the future, we want them to construct a halo pc-ish type game for multiplayer, celebrating online, for halo pc, halo 2, halo 3, and all of the other halo multiplayer.
but the only people who bother to reply to this are sons of -Yoinks!-, who for some reason just try to defeat the multiplayer, that i used to go on every day
since halo pc, halo 2, halo 3, halo 3 ODST, halo wars and halo reach have their own online multiplayer, i wanted to see this happen.
i atleast wanted some part of halo pc in it, like a room that is closed in halo combat evolved, but u do some kind of code to unlock the door, and u get a flame-thrower or something that u cant get anywhere else on the game. u could have had a skull, that unlocks random weapons set, like halo 3 weapons set, halo 2 maybe.

One of the new maps is from Halo CE PC (Timberland). They’re not going to add a Flamethrower or Fuel Rod gun (though it would be pretty cool) because they didn’t want to change the original game. They just wanted to add new graphics, music etc. so that if you wanted to you could play it exactly the same as the original.
