It’s way too easy to rank up in the Battle Pass

here’s an idea… GIVE INFINITE A ACTUAL PROGRESSION SYSTEM TO GIVE THE WEEKLIES A ACTUAL PURPOSE OTHER THAN JUST FOR THE BP

Good, I don’t want artificial time gates on something I already paid for. A small grind is fine since there’s a free item tree, but making it harder is pointless and annoying. If someone wants to no life and get it done in a few weeks then good for them.

I think that the progression system of the battle pass is designed for casual player. A casual player doesnt play every day Halo Infinite. So to complete the Battle Pass takes a long period.
The dedicated Player gets really fast to Level 100. Playing very often, completing challenges, playing special events.
I dont know the percentage of casual players compared to the dedicated players in Halo Infinite. My guess, 90% are casual players. In 1 or 2 years the percentage will shift in the direction of the dedicated player.
In the actual situation, it makes sense to keep it easier to level up the battle pass.

Nah. I don’t pride myself in finishing and achieving a hard grind BP anymore.
I’m past that age and I don’t spend all my time playing vidya.

No EXP from bots

there. fixed Now you too can go out and touch some grass.

Literally refer to the original post. 30 minutes for bot matches should net you 6 matches on average. I’m literally doing it right now and I’m on track for that.

Admits to exploiting, then complains ranking up the battle pass faster than expected?
What a dumb take on attempting to police progression for others based on personal exploitations.

I rather have all my stuff unlocked sooner so I can start enjoying the game without being forced to do challenges.
I like the progression right now, don’t take this away from me.

I think its a massive improvement especially for those of us that dont get all day everyday to sit and play, some people are busy at work 40+ hours a week and living a life so its great that those people now have a chance at leveling up abit after only a few hours of gameplay at weekend or during the odd week night instead of taking weeks or months to level up and unlock items in a season pass that people have paid for! i dont understand why your finding it such a negative thing that your leveling up faster and unlocking stuff in the season pass?! That doesnt stop you still being able to play and isnt the reason people play games because there fun to play not just so they can keep unlocking stuff?!..

“Now you can go out and touch some grass” :joy::joy:

If you’re somebody that does very little other than playing video games, or focuses on thus game in particular, then yes, I can see how progression may be too fast for you.

Unfortunately you guys don’t exist in a vacuum. The game has to appeal to the “filthy casuals”, and yes, that includes people like me.

An hour a day is a massive investment for me, and that’s just to game generally, and I like games that aren’t Halo, so that splits my time up even further.

For me the system works quite well in terms of pacing, and I’ll be still working towards those higher tiers as we approach the new season.

My main issue is that some Reach content has been split out of the pass into the store, which I think is a horrible move. If that got brought back in to the pass with an extra twenty tiers or so, that’d help both of the groups a little in different ways.

I really don’t see the issue. The main draw of the game should be the gameplay in my opinion. So you play the game to play the game and the battle pass is a nice extra. So I don’t see the issue with the progression. I like playing the bot matches and getting one level a day. Future seasons aren’t going to be as long as this one, so I don’t see the progression being “too fast” a problem now or in the future.

I guess you are someone like me that does the challenges with exp boost with the daily and ranked up way fast, I’m lvl 96, gonna be 98 by today when daily’s reset, never once did I purchase levels etc

I did address youe point about how it’s not the baseline. You’re exaggerating how things went. But whatever.

I’m now BP Level 94 I think without buying additional levels.

tbh I’m scared of what I will do after I finished it. Yes the gameplay is awesome but still the lack of server selections [thanks again that any players except US players are screwed], the non-existence of a rank that shows my general lifetime [Spartan Rank 1-152 from H5 better I say Recruit to 5-Star General in Halo 3]. Why should I play? Of course it fun but there is no reward at all.

Same goes now with the Ultimate Challenge: An Emblem. Why should I grind myself to death when the Ultimate Challenge price is a joke? It’s one thing if it is at least an cool camouflage skins [which are still missing in this game] or maybe an cool Armor set but emblems etc are a joke.

This is what happens when you introduced at first one of the worst systems to the community

The season was supposed to only be 3 months, given the pace you can rank up at, it was a balance between casual and hardcore players. But when they extended it, they didn’t add more Teirs, honestly they should have added an extra 100 Teirs when they extended it. Even if those Teirs we’re just filled with challenge swaps mostyl.

Granted I’m hoping they actually add more customization content rather than filler in the next BP.

But it wasn’t originally sapoosed to be 160 days.

I went ahead and did it. Granted the Ultimate challenge is wonn5 ranked matches. It was not worth it in the end. I hate playing ranked

Going to have to disagree with you; before they added the XP incentives, ranking up was a boring-a** grind, and that was with using double XP boosts. Without them, I’m sure it would have been pure hell. If they didn’t want people completing the battle pass so quickly, then maybe they shouldn’t have cut the 20 levels they did out of it to sell in the damn store.

Furthermore, they shouldn’t have extended the season to 6 months, if they didn’t want people completing the hundred levels so quickly. Either way, the system has proven to be a poor fit for Halo; I’m not surprised in the least. All 343i seem capable of doing is copying other games’ ideas, poorly, and then changing things when their versions of things don’t work out. This is no different.

Wait is this a joke? For the last month and half people have been crying cuz battle pass was to slow, like taking a week just to level once or twice. Now everyone is saying it’s too fast? Wtf is wrong with people.

I think it’s a combination of a few things. Different people having different opinions, and speaking out at different times. Perhaps you remember, but some folks were saying it was just right before. The people upset were just louder. Also, the game has pretty much no customization if you don’t level up, so it’s really frustrating to be struck at a low level, but when you complete it there’s no general rank to work towards, so the sense of progression is just gone. I think give players some decent default customizations, and making it so there is progression outside the pass, and people would probably care much less about the speed they progressed in the pass. Maybe I’m wrong though.
