Desync issues are cringe. NGL. But, I thought I’d hear better reasons for Halo Infinite being sad.

So without further ado, here’s my reasons why Halo Infinite is SAD:

  1. it’s actually not though
  2. the plasma pistol is sad, it just doesn’t home, doesn’t stall vehicles, it’s not even a secondary to the secondary weapon.
  3. Hydra, Ravager, and Cindershot all feel sad. They are too sucky. I just don’t like using them. I think Hydra and Ravager can be fixed though, Cindershot I don’t know, the projectile trajectory and all just sucks.
  4. In general, the game mechanics could use a slight smoothing out, refinement, and that combined primarily with the jarring, heavy sound makes the game feel very intense, and un-halo-like.
  5. Cortana
  6. Fernando Esparza
  7. Campaign Story - Never have I seen a more sucky halo 5, and halo 6 game in life. See what I did there? did not even explain myself properly, just like the campaign.
  8. Banshee - what the flying donkey dique
  9. Rocks, lots of ducking rocks, every mucking where on campaign.
  10. Shock rifle, only headshot seems good. Lots of room for half-hits, partial ack. Just a stupid weapon as it is now. I don’t like that the weapon is loong and heavy looking either.
  11. The menu UI design is kinda sad. Like, I could do a better job. Literally. Hire me, 343, I’m serious.
  12. Not being awarded specialty points for specialty killing.

…my point was exactly what I said - It’s weird how you feel the need to argue online with people (over a video game) for having a different opinion than you. I’ve seen you on multiple threads doing it. You could benefit from some new hobbies

It’s also extremely weird that you and the other guy I replied too are obnoxiously defending/justifying valid criticisms of infinite. If you are pleased with the game then hats off to you. Let people speak their mind so the complaints can be heard and addressed, that’s how feedback works

I think at this point we already know what the issues are… I won’t repeat them but we all know it’s bad.

However - if 343 do not think they need to address the issues that have been raised.

There will be two outcomes….

Forums get trashed - and that’s okay cause nobody from 343 wants to solve the chaos.

And a lot of people will leave the game… that’s okay too - as it will send 343 a message!

People should not be defending incompetence at this level and they know it - by doing so you’re just adding to the chaos!

And there you’re mistaken. I don’t care one bit what their opinions are. I don’t argue opinions. I’m stating facts, specifically regarding who handles what in the production and distribution of video games.

Just as you’re free to whine about how Halo Infinite isn’t everything you dreamed it would be, and you feel so hurt and betrayed and small violins all around, we are well within our right to speak our mind about those opinions. You’re welcome to them, but we aren’t required to accept them.

I feel like a good chunk of it is also 343 being horrible with communication. They made this spiffy new Waypoint site, but won’t use it as often as they should. They don’t put enough promotional/news content on the site and if they say anything that shouldn’t be on the site then it gets jumbled between the streams, reddit, and twitter. There is no one single place for the devs to tell us what we need to hear.
I praise ID Software as the golden standard for being a big company interacting with the community. They have shown in Doom Eternal’s lifespan how to do it and 343 needs to straight up copy them.

  1. Everything news related, patches, new content added, store changes, etc all gets put onto the official website. Viewing articles give points that lead to site-specific cosmetics for the game. Promoting people using them and it keeps everyone on the same level.
  2. For public statements, 343 can’t decide between twitter, reddit, or streams to drop them. 343, choose a lane. ID chose reddit and keeps twitter as promotional material. 343 favors Twitter but anything they said about the store was said in a stream. I only learned this stream existed a week later on a forerunner’s youtube channel. If their stream isn’t HCS 343 doesn’t seem to promote it. And if they are dropping important information in a stream, they need to market it.
  3. When they do make statements, they need to be upfront and honest about their mistakes. An actual “we made a mistake. We’re working to fix it.”. ID software admitted somethings with the Mick Gordon situation. And when Super Gore Nest master level released bugged. And when Invasion was canceled for horde mode.
343 on the other hand just goes “We didn’t know this would happen, this was not our intention.” Which only raised more questions and shows the 343 devs as incompetnent. That’s not a good public image and 343 isn’t doing much about it.
I know the devs need a break for crunching out Infinite. But its clear the game wasn’t ready and because nothing was prepared for their vacation the game is hurting.

Lmao I’m not the one who made this thread? I didn’t wine or critique anything. But I acknowledge the criticisms people express here cus usually they are VALID. And I’m not going to argue with someone about blaming the developers vs the publishers cus that’s ridiculous and I have better things to do with my time

Just a tip - you would probably be able to have a normal conversation with people online if you didn’t try and act like a know-it-all and try and talk down on people condescendingly all the time. All the other threads I’ve seen you on arguing with people - along with this one - you’re ALWAYS argumentative and seem extremely unpleasant to interact with. God forbid someone has a different opinion than you

BTB actually never loads up a game for me which is disappointing because its one of my favourite playlists.
I too, have been with the Halo franchise since 2001, there have been some highs and lows but I’ve never been able to bring myself to putting the game down. I personally love it. If you have been playing for as long as I have you will know that no game is without it’s flaws. The only two strife’s I have is BTB not working and the melee desync’s.

Those can become highly frustrating, but if the competitive aspect is getting to me, I’ll just play some campaign to unwind.

I like the game, just wish it had some more content

Buddy, I really don’t care. If all you’re looking at is the arguments and/or debates I have, then that’s your bias.

If you don’t like it anymore, just stop.

Take off the rose-tinted glasses and try to enjoy things

worked soooo hard that your out till sometime in January

Aren’t people able to tunnel in to their work environment from home? If this is the case why did NO ONE fix BTB before Christmas when everyone was getting their series s and x’s and the population was super dense so we all kept the player base rolling. There is a shortage by the way but the argument still stands. This is one of if not the oldest matchmaking games and no one knows just off the top of their head why BTB is failing most of the time for pc players and can’t just put a band aid to address the issue so people can search just for Christmas?

They keep on releasing a new halo game and then asking for another chance. You just can’t do that 343i every game release is you Eminem moment you cannot fail first try.

30 seconds of fun people your 30 seconds are up time to move on. Not fun failing matchmaking in the main playlist for vehicles and large groups of socializing people playing your game BTB.

343 just put out a mediocre halo themed first person shooter. Nothing more, nothing less. Don’t let the AAA visuals fool you. 343 is incapable of releasing something truly great on launch and the fact that so many of us got our hopes up is a testament to how gullible this community really is.

The game has decent fundamentals, but by the time 343 gets around to fixing some of the issues and adding some real content, most of the player base will be gone and it’ll just be sweats and cheaters populating the lobbies.
