…like 343 is about to rip off the arms of COD, and then beat em with them.
Let me explain… COD fans have basically gotten the same game reheated and served back to them for years. 343 of coarse wants to broaden there fan base, and COD fans are ripe for the picking. So 343 takes a few of the better ideas from COD, dresses them up nicely and then provides a fresh story, and continued innovation though the spartan ops missions. Halo’s fan base may be somewhat upset right now, but most of these ideas are fairly good ones.
Wether its classic halo or not. Odds are you will still buy the game, and once all that fresh meat hits the MP maps you will forget most of your complaints. Those COD fans will look like chum to a shark, for Halo fans. And the COD fans will get something kinda familiar but fresh and exciting. My hats off to 343, you folks are brilliant.
Halo is not fast paced enough for COD fans. They’ll probably buy halo4, but will ditch it as soon as black ops 2 comes out.
That’s what I’m worried about. COD players don’t seem to want to stay playing the same game a year after. Maybe even less if if Black Ops 2 comes a few weeks after H4.

does it matter… even if it just pumps the pop count up by 10k to 20k thats still a huge boost in the online population

It will do the opposite like reach did, gained and few lost a lot.

This. Most of my friends who prefer COD do b/c of its very fast kill times. The players who prefer COD will probably stick to it once they get their month of Halo 4.
So, what you’re doing is insulting CoD because it supposedly doesn’t ever change and you want Halo to not change because that would make it too much like CoD?
Wat
I think I’ll listen to other people’s opinions personally.
I expect Black Ops 2 to be the Reach of CoD and Activision to end it and start milking Bungie’s new IP

Most of my friends barely play, but it was COD that introduced them to FPS. So i am still skeptical about CODs ability to retain there casual players after there H4 release.
CoD is on its last legs but will Halo deliver the final blow? or will a new revolutionary game be the one to finish it off.
Either way CoD is finished unless Black Ops 2 pulls off a miracle

I am not insulting either game. Both have there strengths and there weaknesses. I was simply pointing out 343s exploitation of CODs weaknesses.
