It Lacks A Reason To Return

My purpose for writing this article is to send a crystal clear reason to 343i why their game is not succeeding.

It lacks a reason to return. There is no motive to continue to play this game when everything is leveled up. No XP system to progress every now and again. Perhaps too few easter eggs in the campaign. Back when this game was released I might’ve said gameplay, however, for me, the gameplay has grown stale with high amounts of ping and toxic players refusing to do the objective.

Here lies the big problem that 343 needs to figure out. Currently they are finding ways to fix bugs and issues, but the only people these impact are current players. People arent going to come back to the game because of a fix in radars.

343i needs to decide between releasing large-scale updates with new elements to gameplay or to continue smashing bugs until the game is dead but perfect.

Titanfall 2 had the same problem, Respawn took the bug fix approach, and the game was dead 3 years into it.

Learn from others, 343i.

One very easy thing they could do now they are going down this awful F2P model is adapt and implement some of the levelling up ideas from COD…as an example, they could easily have weapon XP and weapon specific challenges to level up each weapon with weapon skins and (cosmetic only) attachments. Make those rewards worthwhile having and earning based on skill or grinding then you have an instant motivation to keep playing…and the more you keep people playing the more likely they will spend in the store. It’s not rocket science 343i.

True but then there are those who purposefully boycott all forms of MTX

Those people are taken into account in the business model.
