If 343i is really going to follow Cannon. What UNSC Air Vehicles will be on IMPACT???
Falcon is a prop rotor type vehicle and cannot fly out of atmosphere, nor can the hornet.
From Wiki
(The Hornet is an atmospheric only craft and as such cannot be deployed by orbital vessels unless a ship rated for atmospheric entry can deliver it to the battlefield. It is easier for the Hornet to be deployed from an air base located on the surface than from a ship.)
So no previous UNSC flying MM vehicles from the console are able to be used in space. Which is IMPACT’s setting.
Well how about the covenant? Nope, The Banshee is not made for out of atmosphere flight that’s why you see the space banshee variant on LNOS.
So the question remains… Will there be no air vehicles, will they simply break cannon to include them, or will they add in new space vehicles to fill there place.
Vehicles such as the boosterframe, sabre, pelican, space banshee, seraph, phantom.
The realist in me says that they will probably just break cannon and my theory is flawed on that aspect or there will be no Air Vehicles at all on IMPACT.
But if 343i was to truly follow cannon we should see the inclusion of at least one new space vehicle for forge mode on impact. They have been following basic cannon pretty well so far (with things like flood mode) so I do have hope.
I’d honestly be very upset if the falcon/hornet/banshee were not allowed to be on the map at least in forge variants simply because above everything else, this is a FORGE WORLD, and limiting the sandbox due to cannon (which we can create ourselves. Who’s so say the planet doesn’t have artificial atmosphere?!?) is just a bad move, and it would prevent a lot of great potential maps from being made.

Aren’t all of the multiplayer maps taking place inside a VR simulation in Infinity, where the rules don’t necessarily apply?

Yes, but its set to model realistic combat scenarios. I understand they could BS a reason for using the falcon on IMPACT but the real UNSC Infinity would likely use the VR system to generate the proper and applicable vehiculas Spartans would be using in each enviroment.

but they wouldn’t train the spartans for space combat in vehicles that would never be there.
Forge and customs are non-canon. I’m sure that it wouldn’t matter at all if there were Hornet’s, Falcons and Banshees etc. on Impact.
Because when I seen and heard the video from Gamestop: the DMR sounded exactly like as if you were in the Atmosphere where everything is loud and clear. Same goes for jump height; it was exactly the same as you would originally jump when you’re on Atmosphere.

This ^
And, who give a damn about canon. If the MC can suddenly fire rockets out of his -Yoink-, as long as it makes the multiplayer better and more fun then who gives a damn about whether in scene 45 of the first instalment of ‘Master Chief the misunderstood hero’ captain John -Yoink- said, ‘Alas Master Chief, you will never be able to fire rockets out of your ringpiece’.

Your right so let us have boats that can drive around on land, oh and the mongoose and warthog and tank should be able to drive underwater as deep as they want. Its not canon after all so why not?

What’s a “boosterframe”?

Sure you can!
Come on, it’s not like people take these games seriously. They’re big, dumb, loud blockbusters. I’m more concerned if something is convincing than if it’s “realistic”.

Did you not read properly?
I’ll say it again…
> the DMR sounded exactly like as if you were in the atmosphere where everything is loud and clear.
In space… You wouldn’t be able to hear your own weapon at all, it’d be complete silence. No one can hear you scream as they say. But because you can hear your weapon, Impact must have an atmosphere if it can support weapon sounds and jump height as default…

> Yes, but Forge isn’t necessarily in War Games, as far as I’m concerned.
In forge, you’re pretty much building a simulation for the War Gmes.
> Your right so let us have boats that can drive around on land, oh and the mongoose and warthog and tank should be able to drive underwater as deep as they want. Its not canon after all so why not?
That completely defeats the whole point of atmosphere… Water is not atmosphere. Ground is not atmosphere. Without atmosphere on Earth, we’d be all dead by the solar winds from deep space.
The further you go underwater, the more pressure it gets to you which results to the point of death, something today’s humans don’t do when diving underwater about 1km deep as an example from your explanation. Which is why you don’t get a vehicle underwater that isn’t able to be usable as a submarine…
> so let us have boats that can drive around on land
Well… There’s a vehicle called the Hover Boat. It is able to drive on many other conditions of the ground…
545 years later from now: technology on vehicles would of massively increased compared to now…

goddamnit i wanted to say that >.<
on topic, who knows, there is at least one more vehicle to be revealed so maybe it will be a light space vehicle? also its a forge world so variants should be allowed it as we make up the background story or just simply the fun. xD
