“…that another may be freed.”
I can’t get that statement out of my head. What exactly did the Primordial mean by that? Will there be Precursors in Halo 5/6?
Maybe another Primordial will be released in Halo 4…aaargh what did he mean!!!

I think that graveminds are simply conduits from which the last precursor speaks and controls the flood. Through which it interacts with the uh…physical realm.
So killing one gravemind really means nothing to the precursor. Another one will take its place.
But I honestly don’t know for sure.
Since it is kind of obvious the Captive was not the last of its “kind,” I can assume that there are multiple Graveminds of equal stature throughout the galaxy. I have my doubts in Halo 4, but maybe in the next two or next few books. The 3rd forerunner book is supposed to explain the relationship between these “precursers” and the flood.
Have to wait and see.
Once again, the Gravemind says something epic and badass. He’s Arby in Flood form!
I think he may be talking about the rise of the Precursors… We will just have to see!

I’m going to say this.
The Halo 4 enemy is obviously the Didact, the question is what they plan to do with him…

Don’t be so sure. OP has a very good point to bring this up. For what its worth, I’ll go ahead and say I think this will be the first Halo game with two enemy bosses present. Good observation OP, the fact is, no one is going to know till we play it, but if I had to guess, its definitely a reference to the precursors and flood relationship.

How is the Didact “obviously” the enemy?
OP: That quote had me thinking for a very long time after Primordium. So ambiguous…

No since we killed a gravemind on Istallation 04B. Well I think that all this stuff that the Primordial is talking about has happened in the first halo trilogy. Plus this is probably why the unknown voice calls the Master Beef a reclaimer. Humans have passed the test.
Gravemind: Like water I ebb, and flow. Defeat is simply an addition of time, a sentence I never deserved.
Sounds Primordial-y…maybe the…naaaaaah.
He was either on about the graven itself, or the precursors.
These guys created all known life in the galaxy, we really don’t have any idea just what they’re capable of.
The post about the graveminds being conduits of sorts I like, and it fits with my theory that the Precursors designed the flood as a weapon/solution to a degree.
(When I say this, I mean that I think they created the powder that humans found which eventually became the flood as we know it…they planned on it).

Or maybe his right hand (forgot his name) I heard in some other post that the Didact had a “right hand/best friend” that shared the Didacts idea’s. And maybe he will be returning.
-Yoink!- i cant wait! i want to know
