It doesn't make me want to buy skips. It makes me not want to play

I dont mind buying a 10 dollar battle pass every season. It’s not a terrible compromise for a F2P model, but the grind is just exhausting. It doesn’t encourage me to buy skips. It honestly makes me not want to invest any money into the game at all and not buy the battle pass in general. This is a dead horse of a topic, but 343 needs to continue to see this. We NEED performance/win based exp gains IN ADDITION to the challenges. No one is buying your skips, 343. They are putting the game down. Do something soon or the game will die.

Kind of same with me.

I bought the pass because I figured I could easily accomplish it over a moderate amount of time.

About 70 games now into Halo Infinite and I think my battle pass is rank 6. It will take me like 1,000 games to get to 100 at this pace. After I finish this battle pass I don’t think I will be buying another one again as I don’t think I will end up playing enough to actually complete a second one.

Yeah.

The calculus is not good here. I play for enjoyment and not with the hope of clearing 100 levels in 6 months.

As a middle aged working professional. I simply do not have the time to play 20 games per night to rank up once a day.

Same and maybe the BP isn’t for old people like us. Who knows?

What I do know is that I probably won’t get one again as the challenges really stink for the most part and XP gains are too slow for me to waste money on the BP.

Maybe each season instead of buying it first–I will just play and see how far I get into the BP before it cycles over and then determine whether to buy it or not. It’s not like the first ranks have anything worthwhile anyways so there is no rush to get it. I’m pretty sure you can still rank up with buying the BP and then when you buy it, all previous levels unlocked you can get all the stuff from that.

I play an hour or so a day and level up at least once. It’s not that difficult.

Youre alone on that, then.

Same, I was grinded my weeklies last night until a “Destroy an Enemy Scorpion Tank” popped up, then I just came to the conclusion I ain’t getting that weekly reward and honestly I could care less. I would never in my life be dumb enough to buy double XP or a challenge skip with real money.

50xp per match is an exhausting experience, there really isn’t anything to play for because rewards are either tired behind XP sinks or the store, and is it even a reward at that point if you have to pay for it.

I’m of the same ilk.

Tbh, I have no idea why armour sets aren’t tied to an actual exp/skill-based system, with an option to buy earlier access?? People will do that.

Heck, a large part of the replayability of H3, was doing challenges to unlock armour sets…this was ignored…it’s just disappointing.
