Wait, the sales which show a downward arc? Those sales?

This so much. xD
As much hate as it gets, it also boasts a huge player-base. Sadly, we haven’t been able to contend with CoD titles for a few years now. It’s so sad. =(

And many once CoD fans.

If some players get tired of CoD’s same gameplay after x years and games, they are more than welcome to play something else. No one’s forcing them to stick with CoD. If they leave because it’s still the same, that’s their opinion–they only liked CoD’s gameplay for x years, now they’re bored and want something else. There’s nothing wrong with that. There’s also nothing wrong with the other players who, for whatever reason, still enjoy CoD enough to play it longer than x years. For those players, they have their gameplay.
Of course developers will want to cater to the larger player base. They just need to find out which is larger: the players who want the same or the players who want change?
Everyone keeps focussing so much on that one scene…I don’t see how one scene at the end of the first level is grounds for deeming a company “lazy” or “not trying.” Maybe they don’t get that big development time, so they have to cut corners. Whatever, people should put themselves in their shoes and then think about who’s lazy.
Sorry, I just got fed up. Tired of people using that scene as an excuse to bash the game. Didnt think I would see it on a halo forum is all. Oh well.
Sorry for being off topic.

Judging by pretty much every franchise out there…the same. There are dozens of examples of series that remain largely similar form game to game yet all they do is grow in popularity and sales.
The more I play COD the more I appreciate Halo.

It’s very simple. The OP made a thread commenting on something bad in another game which we don’t have.
Lack of Negative > Negative
