Ideally these Divisions/Seasonal rankings should be fairly enjoyable. However, in their current state, they are not. They severely need more tweaking to enhance the enjoyment of the ranking system. Here are some major flaws I have IMO:
No one should be placed directly into Champion after their 10 placement games. I would go so far to suggest no one even be placed in Onyx.
Divisions should face their Divisions. The entire point of “Divisions” is to match equal skill, prove your might, and move into the next “tier”. I am a Diamond, and routinely get matched against Onyx, and even Champions which is just absolutely ridiculous. It’s not enjoyable, it’s not fair. If the game is matching me based on some magical “skill level” in the background, then that should be MY LEVEL. Do not put me in Diamond, yet admit in the background I am Onyx, so put me up against Onyx. All this does is make me “stuck” at wherever I get put into after my placement games.
Champions are essentially forced to run with a lower account if they want to find games. So basically boosting is back, even though the whole reason we ditched 1-50 was because of boosting. This destroys the whole point of divisions once again. Champions should face nothing lower than HIGH Onyx.
Wins vs. Higher Tiers should make you rank up quicker. As stated above, this game routinely puts me up against Onyx, and even Champion level players. If you are going to screw me from the beginning, at least give me more credit on the rare occasion that we do beat that team. As a direct result of this, LOSSES vs. these teams should not rank you down. I had back to back games last night against Champions (I’m Diamond 2), lost both, and ranked down. That is ridiculous
These are some of my biggest complaints, I’m fine with “Seasons” (although I do think somewhere on your Player Card it should display your highest rank ever achieved).
Any other suggestions? Really hope 343 takes a look at the current ranking system and “tightens it up” if you will.

Well from what I’ve heard that was in FFA/Swat where too many people were getting placed into Onyx. I was placed in Onyx on both of those “pre-season”, and Diamond in both this time which is fine.
My only complaint is, it seems like the ranking system works for me, and the other team. Meaning I’m equal skill wise with the other team, if not better. But my team mates always seem to deserve Bronze! Lol

Oh yeah forgot about this. Not only do I face players ranked much higher, but it’ll give me someone in their placement games on my team! So frustrating in its current state.
At times I think 100% random would be better. At least then we know it is random vs being told it accurate when its not. Also I originally was for seasons, but now I understand what they do. They allow mlg guys a monthly chance to clean up on scrubs. Also toward the end of last season everony had finally played enough to be in the correct rank. The games were getting closer and more evenly matched and quite enjoyable. Now it terrible again. and by the time it evens out in a month guess what NEW SEASON.
