Issues with the AI in the Gameplay Demo

Many people were / are complaining about the graphics and I totally agree, but I feel like some other problems are getting overlooked.

Maybe it’s just me reading too much into it, but in the short demo we’ve got I’ve noticed 2 very strange situations and I’ve barely seen anyone talking about it.
I’m pretty sure most of you’ve already seen the demo, but in case you didn’t or you don’t remember the scenes I’m talking about, here is the Gameplay Demo from the official Halo Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZtc5-syeAk

1. The suicide Grunt

The fact that Brutes can toss suicide Grunts at you is a pretty cool, new feature. The first time it totally made sense (5:07)
But if you skip to 5:17, it doesn’t make sense at all - why would you toss the grunt to the same location? Chief was completly somewhere else. What exactly was the Brute aiming for?
In fact, the grunt comes back, you can see him at 5:25.

2. The grunt in the turret

The grunt in the turret spots Chief at 5:46 and starts to shoot at him. But he isn’t really tracking him. The grunt should’ve at least try to aim for the rock (The enemy should be smart enough to detect that is the place where he is hiding.)
If you look at 5:55, you can clearly see that he still aims for the same position where he first spottet Chief. It doesn’t make much sense?

I mean maybe I’m reading too much into it, but it’s really weird to have 2 situations like this in such a short Demo. And I highly doubt that it has something to do with the difficulty. Maybe I would understand it if would be in the middle of the campaign with a huge amount of enemies with various factions - so things can get very messy and chaotic, but the thing is: In the Demo there were just you and one enemy faction.

My english is not the best, but I hope you understood what I meant

The 2nd grunt toss is weird but i’m pretty sure the turret thing was just scripted for the demo. At least i hope lol

my guess with the throwing of the grunt the animation/AI is rooted the the exact location seen & slow to react to chiefs speed/mobility.

I imagine when its on legendary they are like jackal snipers

They’ve said the AI is going to be “more aware” of the sandbox and more able to use it. They of course did not show this, apart from Grunt tossing, but that is what they claim.
