Before I get on topic, here is a little backstory:So recently I built a PC on the new AMD Ryzen platform. Incase you don’t know already, motherboard manufacturers have been releasing BIOS updates to better optimize the platform. When I attempted to update my motherboard, the update failed and bricked my motherboard. So I sent my board to ASUS, waited for 2 weeks, and just got it back today. In the meantime I dusted off my old Xbox one and decided to play it in the meantime. At first I wasn’t very happy with the experience. After all, my dissatisfaction with my Xbox one was the reason I built a gaming PC out of used parts a few years ago. I started to play Halo 5, which I just got for this past Christmas and played for no more than a few days because I was already a PC gamer. After getting used to the awkward FOV, decent graphics, and forced use of a controller, I started to have fun. A LOT OF FUN. Halo 5 is an awesome game to play solo or with some friends. After I got my motherboard back, I was ready to put my Xbox one back down in purgatory. However, I quickly stopped myself after realizing that I had fun. So now I have both the Xbox one and my PC on my desk.
So my main question is: Why not port the full version of Halo 5 or even the Master Chief Collection to PC?
The reason I want Microsoft to port the flagship Halo games to PC is because they are awesome! I’ve always had a soft spot for the Halo games. Unfortunately, I can’t play them natively on my PC. Besides, they already released Halo Wars 1 & 2, Gears of War 4, Halo 5: Forge (which isn’t very good), Minecraft, and more on the Windows Store. Imagine if they made they made the multiplayer cross platform through Xbox Live. The player base would be HUGE. If a full release of any of modern flagship Halo games were ported to PC, I would sh*t my pants.I want the flagship games on PC because I love the Halo series. Additionally, I have many friends who would buy it as fast as I would.

So here is where I want input from you guys, to see if you would like to see a full release of any of the modern Halo games to PC. I want this to send a message to Microsoft and 343.

I don’t have an answer for you, friend… it appears sadly the rumors about Halo 3 PC are false, they debunked them (again) today. I’m not sure why MS is so defiantly refusing to allow PC players to Finish the Fight, but other Halo’s (Wars DE) can come to PC. Especially if, as rumored, there’s already a fully functional port of MCC for PC sitting at 343, and MS just does.not.want. to release it because… reasons.

Even though I am not a PC gamer at all I agree. Putting Halos onto PC would make the player base a lot larger, and in the process make a lot of people happy. Personally I don’t what the point is in not putting Halos on PC.

I would love a bigger fan base in HALO. I’m a console player but I can use a mouse and key board well.

Being able to play cross platform is a huge mistake. Console players will have a massive disadvantage toward PC players. Cross play in campaign would be sweet, but competitive multiplayer is a terrible idea.

I really like MIcrosoft’s trend in that they’re releasing their flagship games on both PC and Xbox, but cross-play for competitive modes should never happen.

Yeah I would be fine if they put more FPS Halo games on the PC. Though cross play might be challenging. However you wouldn’t need it if the PC player base is big.

What is crazy is that Halo 1 and 2 both had releases on the PC and Mac when they came out in the early 2000’s and to this day have a large player base.
