Issues with Capture the Flag.

First of all, why does the flag have to sit there for like 30 seconds? It feels extremely frustrating when the enemy was taking a route that’s impossible to defend well, and you just know without a doubt that they’re going to get a cap because of it.

I think you should have to stand next to your flag to reset it, and the more team members that do, the quicker it goes. Like maybe 10 seconds for 1 guy, 7 seconds for 2, and 5 seconds for 3 or more.

Also, you shouldn’t be able to cap unless your flag is home. Maybe that’s just me. It seems like lots of other games do it this way and it just feels right.

Another huge pain in the -Yoink- is that on larger maps, such as Ragnarok, I run out of ammo from firefights simply on the way to the enemy flag, and by the time I get there I’m out of ammo. Or, on any map, even if I’m just defending; I run out of ammo.

I like your idea of standing near the flag to reset it. They do that in alot of other games and it usually works well. As for only being able to cap when your flags home, they did have that in the other Halos with CTF Classic, so they should definitely bring it back. The CTF playlist should include CTF Classic, Multi-Flag, and 1 Flag. Lastly, the ammo problem could easily be solved if they threw some primary weapons around the map for ammo. Valhalla had 4 BRs at each base, Ragnarok has 0.
