Issues that should be addressed in an update

First off I would like to say Halo 4 is AMAZING :smiley: 343i did an amazing job If I could I would give them ALL a hug.

However there are a few problems I feel could be fixed and/or changed in a update.

One I noticed is that when a teammate is killed in War Games unlike past Halos there is no X where they died. This makes it impossible to tell at a glance where your teammates are dying and thus where the enemies are, a return of the X when team-mates die would be perfect.

Another issued I noticed is the lack of customization options in custom games, no more Assault, VIP or Territories! Without these options we are severely limited in terms of custom games. Or in Flood mode which is supposed to be a replacement to Infection it is impossible to change anything about the zombies, can’t change their weapons or anything at all! This is horrible for custom gametypes.

Another one I noticed but is rather minor is in the post game screen where you would see your medals etc. there is no ā€œbest spreeā€ or ā€œK/Dā€ info.

I also feel that BTB games are a bit too short, maybe raising the goal from 1000 points to 1500 would fix this.

All in all Halo 4 is an amazing game but I feel these issues are the only things preventing it from being perfect.

Why would you want Ragnaraok in 4vs4 slayer? The map is way to huge, there’s no way a majority of players would reach the 600 pt limit.

It’s on your radar. Not to say that is a perfect substitute, but there is something. Also your team mates icons glows a redish blue when they have no shields.

If you click on anyones name on the scoreboard, you can hit ā€œbrowse medalsā€ and see all the medals for that game. K/D is definitely there but I’m not sure about best spree.

It was in 4v4 in Halo 3 and the BR had half the range of the H4 BR and a quarter of the range of the H4 DMR…

I concur.

To me the biggest issue not being knocked out of zoom when hit. I think this is the reason people are complaining about the DMR being OP.

Game Announcements (Multikills, Sprees, etc.) Are Not Made In Theatre Clips
-When you create a clip from a full film, the announcer no longer is audible.

Lack of Precision Forge Controls
-Reach’s Forge controls allowed players to move objects slower and more precisely when holding in the Left Analog Stick. Additionally, players were able to zoom in on objects with the Right Stick to get a better handling of their precision movements. These controls have been removed without explanation.

"X" Waypoint for Dead Teammates No Longer Exists
-Another feature that has been removed without explanation.

Grifball ā€œBall Arm Timeā€ Is Bugged
-Setting the Arm Time to any other setting than Instant does not actually change the Arm Time.

Geometry Holes on Ragnarok
-Holes have been found in the geometry of Ragnarok, most notably in the rock slabs to the left of the ā€œbeachsideā€ base and on top of the bases.

Lack of Party Indicators In Matchmaking
-Another feature that has been removed without explanation.

Party Details Tell Significantly Less Details in Halo 4
-Another feature that has been removed without explanation.

Setting Ammo Count for Battery-Based Weapons Does Nothing
-Changing Ammo Count for batter-based weapons hasn’t had an effect every since Forge was introduced in Halo 3. Surprising to see this bug make its way into another game.

Weapons De-spawning Too Quickly If Not An Ordnance Weapon
-Players have noticed that weapons are despawning at a ridiculously quick rate after they have been dropped in comparison to past Halo games. This makes drop-spawning weapons (which creates static weapon spawns) a very inefficient method to spawning weapons.

Games Beginning With No Players On Opposing Team
-Games will somtimes begin with no players on one of the teams. This usually occurs when an entire team backs out after a game or the game after a game has ended because the entire team quit out. This bug is costing players Double XP games.

Alphabetical Order For Active Rosters
-Really confusing when you try to look for specific players through your Active Roster. Essentially forces you to just scroll through the entire Active Roster to find players.

Tactical and Support Packages Earned Through Specializations Are Not Options In Custom Games
-It seems very unneccesarry for these to not be included as options in custom games. It almost seems as if this was an oversight.

Cannot Change Max Player Count of Lobby Once a Player Joins
-Very annoying bug. Requires the leader to leave the party and make a new one to set a new Max Player Count.

Remove promethean vision, nerf the assault riffle, make weapons spawn on the map on a timer and decrease the dmr’s fire rate and this game would be fixed. everything else listed in the op needs to come true as well.

Another good thread. Important note: These threads all include praise for the game, deservedly so I might add. There are just a few small things that would bring this game to perfection, this thread includes said things.

I would agree, but I just don’t think that’s a good idea with Halo 4 and Infinity Slayer. The camping and head-glitching (it’s not really ā€œglitchingā€, but that’s the name for the maneuvering that’s being used in the situation) in Big Team Battle on that map is bad enough.

With things like scoping in being disables when you’re shot at, Ordinance Drops being removed altogether (remember, I’m speaking as if there’s going to be a specific playlist), and the classic maps with actual WEAPONS on them, and not just power weapons that are randomly dropped, I think it would be much better for maps like Ragnarok. I just don’t see it working in the current configuration of playlists.

Edit: For the player above my post, that issue also existed in Halo: Reach. Yes, it is indeed something I’m not too fond of.

It was not nearly this bad in Reach, In Halo 4 I’ve seen weapons despawn AS they are dropped by the guy killed.

Agree 200%. This is the main thing that is wrong with Halo 4. A sniper can stay zoomed no matter what and allows him to setup his shots. There is no skill in this. Also when it comes to BRs and DMRs it use to be who got the first shot off and who could stay consist. Now you just have guys staying zoomed and firing away as if nothing was happening. Change this and Halo 4 will fill like Halo again.

Had a Spartan Laser, died. I spawn near where I died and when I get back no more than 10 seconds had passed and its gone. I checked in theater and no one picked it up it just despawned. What the hell?
