Issues installing MCC Insider from Microsoft Store

Looked through the forum but couldn’t find much similar to this issue.

Every time I attempt to install the app from Microsoft Store, it begins downloading, goes from 0% to 100% in a couple of seconds and says installed. I click on launch from the windows notification and nothing happens. I then check back on my Downloads list on the store and the app isn’t there but I can install it still from the Ready to Install list. I click install and the same thing happens again every time.

I attempted to install the app yesterday and it was downloading just fine until I had to switch off to head to work, it got up to about 90% downloaded before I switched off the computer.

I’ve tried installing all windows updates, signing in and out of the store, restarting PC. Nothing has worked so far. The app doesn’t appear in the WindowsApps folder after attempting an install either. I’ve also tried leaving and rejoining the programs through the Xbox Insider App, installing/reinstalling the Xbox Insider App and resetting the store cache.

Any thoughts?

Had some luck with on Discord and with other son the forums. Try the following steps:

  • Make sure your windows updates are fully up to date - Make sure your windows store app has all updates installed - Restart your machine and try againIf you’ve done that or that fails, try resetting your store cache

  • Right Click on the Start Button, then - Click on Run. - Enter WSReset.exe and - Click on OK or hit your Enter Key - It can take a minute, maybe more for this to run but once the DOS window closes and the store opens: - Restart your computerAfter that try reinstalling the game again

Have tried this a few times with no luck, still just the same.

Managed to resolve this by changing the install location of new apps to another drive and installing as usual. Works perfectly now!
