Issues, I am unable to play with any friends

The issue at first was that my NAT in halo 4 was set to “Strict” So I looked at a few forums and found the directions to forward a few certain ports to allow my NAT to change to “Open.” So I forward those ports and my NAT in Halo immediately opens. The only issue is I am now stuck in the fallback hoppers so I cannot play with anyone anyway. I disable the port forwards and my NAT becomes strict again but I am now out of the hoppers.

I have tried restarting the game and xbox multiple times, nothing helps. This has been going on for 2 weeks now.

I currently have the ports 88 and 3074 ported. I was also told to port 80, 53, and 1863. But when I put those in I could not even connect to xbox live.

Any help is appreciated, thank you

When I have problems connecting to other players, NAT is usually to Blame. It sounds like you’ve been able to fix the NAT but not able to join friends. Something that has helped me is to Sign Out of your player Profile > Test XBOX LIVE Connection from System Settings (Reset Router/ Modem if it tells you NAT will affect anything) > Start Halo 4 THEN Sign into your Profile. I have found that signing in before launching H4 causes problems with NAT even after I’ve reset Router and Tested Connection.

Hope you get this resolved!
