Issues connecting to Big Team Battle? Set your fireteam privacy to "Open"

This might have been posted somewhere already, but I haven’t seen it.
After not being able to connect to just BTB for almost 3 days, I was trying random settings and this is what worked. Tried it a few times at the default “Friends Only” after and I once again couldn’t connect. Set it back to “Open” and sure enough, I’m back in game.

I wish I found this trick about 30 minutes ago. Could not join with a 6 man fireteam. I could have at least tried this but seems the trick may or may not work

Combining this with occasional console restarts seems to have at least improved the success rate on my Series X. Still not great though :confused::disappointed_relieved:.

Edit: Lol nvm, I just had a server crash 1 minute after a game started :disappointed_relieved:

I tried this last night but it still took 5 attempts. The first 4 games it found a match, counted down to zero, then said connection to server was lost before it started.

Finally managed to join a match but it was 7v6 instead of 12v12 and no one joined in progress either.
