Issue with some players...

Over the last few games I have had players literally get betrayed on purpose. Scoped in Sniper or Vehicles mostly. At first it started to look as coincidences. Then I started to see players intentionally doing it to go down 2-3 players in order to make it harder for the other team, or so it would seem.

Has anyone else had this occur?

I have not really seen much walking in front of sniper types, but I tend to get the guy who thinks its hilarious to hit me right before we engage the opposing team, which sucks =/

I try to ignore them and just stay away but every once in a great while I return the favor

Welcome to Waypoint.

I just ran into a guy like this in campaign co op, sucker would melee me from behind and push me out of cover. Report and move on

I came across a group of people yesterday who thought it would be hilarious to spawn and immediately start blasting away at you with their AR until you had no shields, wait until your shields came back, then rinse and repeat. I usually ignore 'em, but I couldn’t resist a few “accidental” splatter-betrayals :stuck_out_tongue:

2nd game today of btb on Rasu heavies this one guy intentionally drove team members off cliffs to their doom because if you do it that way it doesn’t count as a betrayal, instead you fall to your death. He had 22 deaths and no kills, his gamertag was MyTeamLosesLOL. Needless to say I think I betrayed him once, and popped his shields whenever he came 'round. That game we lost by 30 or 40. It wasn’t just him though half my team kept shooting each other. I didn’t quit out of 1 game today, I wanted to because I lost 5 or 6 and won only once. In that first game I said to everyone to stop shooting each other and they instead started to shoot me. I expect to get a response like ‘you should play with friends to avoid that’. This would be true if they were online when I am, or if they played reach at all.

On top of this half the people I played with today quit out. Because I’m not that good at multiplayer before I would quit if I was getting my -Yoink- whooped. But today I decided to stick it out, even if I lose. A game my team lost today was excellent though. I was on btb boneyard slayer, lost by 30 or so, my team had 6 or 7 people, they had 3. They were sniping for the most part but I finally got Totally Worth It. I wasn’t even trying, that’s the best when you get an achievement and it’s a surprise. I blew up a tank with rockets, but got killed as soon as I fired. Killed the tank and 2 other people with it so a triple kill from the grave. The notification came up and after I respawned I thanked the other team for killing me.

thats stupid pp who ruin the game for other players, that’s the reason the boot player option exist

With the amount of new games always being released its hard to keep the same group of players on the same game. I mostly play with randoms. Which is to my detriment sometimes I suppose.

You and me both man, I remember back in CE teams played more cooperatively. We didn’t even have headsets and what we wrote the whole game could see and read. We worked together to score goals in ctf. This is probably the biggest reason why I drive teammates around - because I drive to avoid either of us getting killed. In btb spire I’m a pretty good pilot with the falcon.

I just had a game where two of us are sprinting for vehicles, and the other six are in a circle shooting each other. I hope it was one of those “automatic grenade tosses” that started it. Anyway, everyone settled down, but it took a while to recover from the other team having all of the vehicles.

Welcome to Reach.

people always betray .if you get the wrathe you alwAYS GET THE KID WHO THROWS grenades at you or stands in front of you so if you move you betray him.im locked out of matchmaking cause ive lost connection so many times cause people quit in the menu phases.that pisses me off .in big team 5 teamates quit so you get spawn killed by 8 guys for 10mins and if you quit you get punished.its ridiculous. and bring back waterworks, best map ever but you seem to only bring back crappy maps like high noon! get it together 343!

If someone stands on my wraith and I’m on Hemmorage I will drive to a cliff and boost into a tree so hopefully the force sends the troll flying to his doom.

A few weeks ago, I was playing Arena on Boardwalk and my team jumped out to an early lead, and a few guys on the other team quit. So, what do two of my teammates decide to do? They decide it would be beneficial to repeatedly commit suicide until we lose the lead. At this point, I’m really angry, so I just decide to betray them until I get booted. Not worth staying for that -Yoink-.

Here’s the game:

Sometimes, I really hate people.

My mate was getting a lot of that in the Anniversary BTB playlist over the weekend.

People were constantly walking back and forth in front of him in the hope he’d betray them, they’d boot him and get a free weapon/chicle. Got to the point where when the third person tried it he got booted after one betrayal, he only had about 4 betrayals spread out over 6+ games so the betrayal system is -Yoinked!-.

One time I was Playing Alpha Zombies on Uncaged. The main place where the humans spawn, behind there to the left is a ledge. I walked on it to check it out, and then some spartian came and pushed me off. It said I fell to my death. I am happy that they made it where you can’t do betrayals in Living Dead, but people still find other ways to be annoying.

The other day I had a player on my team start shooting me, I think they wanted a sniper rifle off me when I had pistol ready and DMR on my back, because as soon as I switched to DMR they stopped shooting me. I mean, seriously is it that hard to tell the difference between a DMR and a sniper rifle?

I come across some players like this once in a while.
Where you pick up a power weapon or take a vechicle and they flip out because they can’t get any other kills with anything

Occasionally, betraying happens and when it does, I usually see one teammate hurting another & this seems to happen most on BTB. Hardly ever had betrayal problems in any other mode. There was this one time a teammate kept shooting me and killed me 3 times before the screen came up. Then when I booted him, it came up again to boot him. Needless to say, I died from him more than the enemy.

I played a game of griffball the other day where we had a team mate spawn camping us with a hammer and betray us. Of course grifball doesn’t ever give you the option to boot either. Needless to say the other two on my team left within seconds after this started so I was the only one. I then realized that said betrayer on my team was friends with the other four on the other team because they were t-bagging me together and all yelling that god forsaken phrase “You mad, bro” but life is life I suppose. Nothing you can do except Submit a player review and move on. It isn’t like 343 is actually watching the games these days making sure people aren’t tampering or cheating.

What I wouldn’t mind is if there was an option called team switch. Say you’re in grifball and it becomes a 4 on 1, the game automatically puts 1 or 2 people from 1 team to the crippled team. In btb an 8 on 4 would become a 6 on 6. Give people no choice either. In order to keep teams balanced and the game from becoming a spawn kill fest.
