Issue with Battle Creek remake map.

So, I haven’t played on the original Battle Creek map from Halo: CE but I don’t think your suppose to be able to get on the roof of the bases or am I wrong.

You can get onto the roofs of the bases; you just can’t clamber over the edges. You’ll have to do things the old school way.

So, it is not a design flaw in the map, correct.

Absolutely not. The map is meant to be as true to the original, which never had clambering abilities in the first place.

That’s pretty clever. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Back in the day we had to use these high fangled maneuvers called crotch jumps. They let you use different routes and get on to all sorts of creative areas on maps. Now all these young whipper snappers have to do is clamber! Lol

But yeah, you can totally get on top of the bases on Battle Creek. Great for flanking, defending and sniping

I have played Halo CE campaign and Halo 3 multiplayer so I know how to Crouch jump for your information.

I wonder if they’ll implement that kinda stuff in the Halo 3 playlist coming up.

Calm down man. That wasn’t a dig it was a joke. Maybe it’s just me, but I figured anybody that knows about it might appreciate it. After all, I have no way of knowing who’s played HCE and who hasn’t. But you said you haven’t so I was simply offering my perspective with a sense of humor…that obviously went right over your head.

It’s a nice throwback, but the classic playlist don’t include any of the new Spartan abilities. It’s just you and your gun.

Actually yes in Halo CE’s Battle Creek map you could get onto the top of the bases using some simple crouch jumps. Also you can do this in all versions of the map Battle Creek!

Actually, you can clamber to get on top of the roofs in Battle Creek. It’s just difficult to do so, since, I suppose, you’re not supposed to be able to do so (hence the difficulty). It’s almost like you can only clamber if you’re lucky enough to jump to the right spot on the ledges. Otherwise, doing it old-fashioned way is the way to go, like crouch-jumping or standing on someone’s shoulders. The good-old days, amirite?

True story:

We saw people jumping off each other’s heads to get to the sneaky on Regret one time.

I’ve never been so confused in a match of Slayer in my life.

There’s a CE playlist in H5? I don’t see that anywhere.

The CE maps only appear in Super Fiesta right now.

Oh ok, thanks.

My bad and I didn’t mean for it come out like that. Though it’s kinda hard to tell when people are joking around or being serious on the internet when your communicating via posts.

No worries. It’s definitely hard to interpret tone online. I could have overreacted just the same. As long as your clear about Battle Creek now that’s all that matters.

I am and thanks.
