Issues of the past
The Banhammer was and is a nondiscriminatory tool that removed players for the following: Quitting early, Bad connection, Cheating, Verbal Abuse to just name a few.
But the one that has destroyed the Halo community the most, are those that do not live near big cities or towns with access to quality internet. Gamers come from all over the world, from all different walks of life. Collectively as gamers, WE ARE apart of the most diverse community in the world. But with diversity also comes social, economical and region specific advantages based on the specific location of where a gamer lives. A gamer from rural Kansas in the United States may not have the ability to afford quality internet compare to gamer that lives in LA, California or even the Seillans France compare to Paris France. The quality and pricing of internet can vary depending on region specific issues for a gamer. With all this information, the Banhammer needs a change. No longer should gamers get banned for getting kicked from a game for bad connectivity. It’s not the fault of the gamer, but the services that are provided to them. Change in the system needs to happen for the benefit for the community. Especially those with high passions of this Game (HALO).
