Isn't it Ironic, Don't You Think?

Nah, these are cathartic lol.

What?

We don’t need Halo to copy Fortnite or Valoran or Apex.

It might not be 2001 but guess what, Halo 1- Reach worked. Reach might not have been 100% perfect but it worked. Why? Because people loved that setup.

So yeah, we don’t need a battle pass or 90% of the cosmetics behind a paywall.

Also yeah, the majority of people everywhere are disliking the game. The only people who I seen really liking it are gaming news outlets (some being it their 1st halo) and people who love f2p games.

It’s not the first Halo for these gaming websites - the articles are just pay jobs. I see Insertion Orders for these positive plugs all the time.

A majority? Got a link to back that up?
Get out of your internet bubble, my dude. There’s tons of people having a blast with Infinite, myself included. Stop letting digital clothes ruin your fun. No one really cares what your Spartan looks like.

Well a little over half of the Steam playerbase has already dropped Infinite (and it continues to drop at a “stone dead by the end of the month” rate), so technically a majority of people do in fact dislike the game enough to not play it any more.

I love how you guys just pull this crap out of the sky. Half my YOINK.

Alright, here are some hard numbers for you:

Peak player count on November 16: 269,176
Peak player count yesterday, December 2: 116,627
116,627/269,176 = 43.3%

I trust you are familiar enough with using a computer to be able to enter ‘Halo Infinite Steam stats’ into your search engine of choice if you want to verify these numbers for yourself.

oooohhhhh I see. You’re basing all your claims off one platform. Noted.
Of course I am, but I’m not the one tossing around wild claims.

I’ll be rolling through the campaign on the 8th, Can’t wait.
I feel sorry for you since you don’t know how to have fun :man_shrugging:

Lol overwhelming praise… you mean like IGN and reddit? Not really a great pulse on how the community is receiving this garbage. Just wait for the player plummet after Christmas and New Years.

Steam numbers are already plummeting.

Hey now, let’s be reasonable. One of the two platforms the game is available on losing almost 60% of its players already does not in any way indicate that the game is being poorly received, you know.

Iv had 5 full days of fun so far. People just wish the game wasnt so bare bones

You don’t get to make a post with a title like that and then not break down all your points in the style of Alanis Morrissette.

For instance.

"A fran-chise,
Turned decade two,

It smashed the gameplay, but gouged the **** outta you,

It’s the Prophet of Truth, in your underground bunker,
It’s a flag cap, two seconds too late,

And isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?

It’s like bu-uh-ggers, in your Halo 3,
It’s Free to Playayay, when you’d rather just pay,
And who would’ve thought, it triggers?

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He caught the only banshee and kissed his *** goodbye,
He waited the whole damn match to take that flight
And as the grapple crashed home, he thought
“No challenge for me.”

And isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?

It’s like bu-uh-ggers, in your Halo 3,
It’s Free to Playayay, when you’d rather just pay,
it’s the well loved game modes, you just didn’t make,

And who would’ve thought, it triggers?

Well, games have a funny way of sneaking up on you,
When you think everythings gonna be great, and everything’s going right,
And 343 has a funny way of launching half formed,
So you think everything’s gone wrong and everything blows up,
In your face,

A desync when you’re driving a hog,
A pebble that launches you into a wall,

It’s like armour cores when all you want is your dude,
It’s meeting the shader of my dreams,
And then meeting his horrific price tag,

And isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?
A little too ironic,
And, yeah, I really do think,

It’s like bu-uh-ggers, in your Halo 3,
It’s Free to Playayay, when you’d rather just pay,
It’s the core systems that you just left behind,
And who would’ve thought, it triggers?

And, yeah, 343 has a funny way of repeating the same old mistakes,
343 has a funny, funny way of shooting their own foot,
Shooting their own foot."

I’d like to note, buggers never really bugged me, and I actually think that while it’s incredibly frustrating that we’re repeating the same old “there’s gold in those hills, but we’ve launched with a mountain on top of it to clear”, 343 can, and I hope will, solve it and make Infinite MP as amazing as it so nearly is.

Please 343. You’re smart people. You know what you did. You know what to do to get it right. Please.

??? Having fun? Yes people are having fun, but it doesn’t mean you can’t dislike it at the same time. I have fun with it sure, but at the same time I dislike many aspects of it.

The launch overall been bad, microtransactions, half the cosmetics behind a big pay wall, the xp system, the fact this is all we getting when day one comes around.

More negatives than positives.

What is good is that 343 is trying. The gameplay, the bones of the gameplay is fun.

So tell me because I am genuinely curious as to why I should not consider you a troll.

Why should I take anything you say seriously? You say the gameplay is good, I mostly agree on that. Theres lots of core issues still underlying though such as very poor netcode, fundamental physics issues still (most notably on vehicles), concerns with some weapon balance, extremely limited content (that seems to be intentional to promote player frustration for microtransactions).

The game does feel good, I know what people mean when they say that. I won’t say otherwise, because I agree.

But what do you get out of trying to crap on other peoples grievances? Customization is part of gaming, and has been a part of Halo for quite some time now (debatably since conception, definitely since 2007). You’re not mentally superior because you don’t care about customization. Newsflash - you’re still an adult playing a scifi game too.

Wanting to be offered a fair price for what used to be a staple feature of the game since 2007 is not a ridiculous request. Yes it is F2P but this isn’t an exclusive F2P experience and since most of the playerbase will be purchasing the campaign, we could almost even disqualify anyone who purchases the campaign from that category. The amount of F2P players will most likely be so low that F2P is really just a technicality.
Its just us long time fans and consumers to want to be financially respected as we had for the previous decades, and not wanting to allow aspects of modern toxic business into Halo.

I couldn’t care any less about what you consider me. If people have FOMO about digital clothes, then yes I am smarter than them.
The MP part is free, so I dunno what you think should be respected there. Buy the stuff or don’t. I can’t speak to the paid $60 campaign, but it does look fantastic.

Ah so you are a troll. Glad its confirmed at least.
