isabel should have multiple macs

As we all know Isabel is little bit on the weaker end of the leader spectrum. She has very few offensive powers and her mac blast does laughable damage compared to similar powers like EMP mac or scatterbomb. To fix this, I think Isabel should gain a mac blast each time she upgrades the ability ending with her having 3 mac blasts that each do decent damage.

Now obviously the 2nd and 3rd mac blast will be adjusted to less damage than the first; and don’t forget that the mac blast projects where it’s going to go for a few seconds before it drops, so like with most abilities, unless you dont move and just stand there you won’t lose your entire army.

Thoughts?

The leader point as i dont play her. I have only gone against her but if its tier 2 or 3 she could need some love more t3 point though I’m guessing?

I believe mac blast is a tier 3 leader point. (Same as forges scatterbomb and johnsons emp mac blast) it’s the “6 o’clock” position on the power wheel

Yeah it’s 3 then I dont see why not in that case it’s not crazy good in the first place.

Yes I like this idea!

PREACH!!!

It’s just so weak! I feel like we need a damage comparison

I like this idea. Isabel definitely needs something to help her be competitive. Moving Accelerated Assembly to T2 would be a good move too. When I play Isabel I usually just get my garage up when my T2 power comes in. Pumping more jackrabbits or warthogs out faster,/sooner would help out her early game. A buff to mac blast would be nice but I don’t think she should just rely on that one attack power. They need to rework accel assembly and Ghost in the Shell to make her viable.

I think it should fire three full powered MAC rounds.

The armament for the Spirit of Fire includes a 22B6R3 MAC Battery which is comprised of three 530cm multi-payload MACs…so the lore definitely supports this, each cannon firing off a round.

Good idea, nuchey. You should move forward with this on Reddit, I think 343 are a little more active on there.

Another fix I can think of is make it similar to the Arbiter’s plasma bolt. Give it a short time to impact so the enemy can’t react to it that quickly, and also give it a much shorter cooldown. If they did this then giving multiple Mac Blasts may not even still be necessary.

This may work with some tweeks. Accelerated Assembly at point two combined with holographic decoy would give Isabel too big of an advantage against unsc. Forge and Jerome could fight, but everyone else would just get out-jackrabbited at the start. One solution could be to make marines simply beat jackrabbits. That way things would be in a triangle. Marines>Jackrabbits, Jackrabbits>Flamethrowers, Flamethrowers>Marines. I think I might make a thread about this actually.

I feel like the mac blast just needs more direct damage against units that it hits. I can imagine some pretty evil combos with the mac blast that could turn it into a giant sniper. For example spartan slam for stun then mac blast against a forge hog or other hero unit.
