I could be alone in this but I don’t think Holodecoy should be revealed by detect. The cost and cooldown can be adjusted accordingly but I feel like as it has been I don’t think it’s ever been able to compare to other tier 1 leader powers and for a leader that already shares a lot of powers with other leaders I feel Holodecoy is supposed to make her feel unique and to me it just seems underwhelming and the change could possibly make her viable in the early game.
It would definitely be way too strong otherwise. It has a lot of use early game when detect units are fairly rare. It is also useful mid to late game because even if the player knows the units are fake, their units (unless otherwise ordered) will still sometimes shoot at the decoys.
It’s not a bad ability in its current state.
I will say as one of the better Isabel players that holo decoy is in a real good spot with or without detect reveal. It adds an incredulous amount of dummy hitpoints to your army and has the potential for major memes. Examples would be saving your spartan by duping her early game when in a bad engagement or hologramming all your late game tanks and sending them at a base and see them all get eradicated and then you come in with your real army. Main point is that hit points scale to what unit you duplicate, which means it basically is a passive that you just have to remember to use being the important key about it. It is my first leader point every game. I only loop back for heavy metal if a game drags past the 6th leader point.
Holo decoy is an absolutely amazing tier 1 ability. As units will target the holos even when detected it allows full pop Izzy air to decimate full pop Reaver’s if comboed with heavy metal and a heal.
Detect or not, I think turrets still auto target decoys that are closest to the turret itself. I always position the decoys to negate turrets. V nice.
