I don’t think it is, I always see people who just use stong team work and communication and they rekt the other team even if they are using reqs. And all they use are BRs and pistols. But people will always rage and say it is /: besides to even get high enough to redeem something OP you would need to first kill some bosses or people.
People who think warzone is p2w just because it has microtransactions have obviously never played a game that’s actually p2w. Microtransactions in any circumstance are stupid but warzone is not p2w.
No, too many people are complaining over a game that hasn’t even been out a week! Once people unlock weapon variants and learn how to play the game than we can decide whether Halo 5 was “the last nail in the coffin”.
I’m getting tired over people who only care about the first 5 minutes of game. If it doesn’t make you feel OP and have flashy colors they get bored and want to move on.
Wait for forge, more maps, game types and for people to learn the gameplay so we can come up with some good strategies. For now people should just play the game.
It is. You pay money and you’ll have more tools at your disposal than you’ll know what to do with, compared to people who don’t pay and can barely scrounge up good gear.
After the enormous amount of mongoose and needler cards I have got through silver and gold packs I can’t see why anyone would ever pay real money for even a single pack. You’re just buying disappointment, not paying to win.
i have like 19 wins and 1 lose on Warzone and I don’t buy reqs, and barely even use the reqs i get for free, most people are awful and you can get easy multikills with the BR

It is not pay to win, in fact I have not paid a penny toward req cards, and I have so many req cards to do stuff with I don’t know what to do with them. Also in fact I have won 12 out of 13 matches of Warzone, so how is that me paying to win, and I’m usually up near the top of the scoreboard every time. It is just getting used to the new gametype and what you need to do as a team and what you can do in the match that will make the biggest differences and decides whether you win or lose.

This is totally false. Just because you paid money for the packs doesn’t automatically mean you will get useful req cards. You could buy 10 packs and then only permanent unlocks you get could be helmets while the rest are needlers and basic ghosts. Hardly gamechangers.

Just because you did not pay for packs, doesn’t mean your 11 teammates in the games where you won did not. Carrying your team or not, if one person paid for a Fuel Rod, Ghost, Mantis, whatever, then they have the advantage.

Yep, people who bought a lot of req packs can have a hydra that locks on to vehicle or an assault rifle with a scope whereas the best I’ve got is a needler

No I’m just making a point. Those cards are also given out every single time you level or complete the 3rd teir or a comindation.
If they came out with a 10 dollar scorpion pack or something like that with a guarantee of the cert then yes the game has gone pay to win. The fact it’s pay to have a 1 in whatever chance of getting anything beyond mongooses and needlers makes it just a way for kids to waste their parents money and max out credit cards

I’m hunting a few things. And I also see value in my purchases so it’s justified to me.

I personally dislike the hydra. I always sell them. And I’d worry more about binary rifles and scorpions than a glorified grenade launcher.
it’s not completely a pay to win mode,
but it does cater an advantage to the player who dumps money into 20 gold packs as well as in game points compared to the player who just uses in game means.

That needler trumps the scoped AR. Seriously, I should know, as I have it unlocked.
On the topic as a whole, I’m actually a little split. The way REQs work in Warzone does balance it out a bit. However, if a team starts out well, and some of them have tank cards, then it just snowballs from there. Also, people who buy packs still get more single-use REQ cards than those who only grind for them. And, even if they’re simply Mongooses, that’s still a STATISTICAL advantage.
Honestly, I’d rather it would be where all WEAPON and VEHICLE cards are unlimited use, but only once you unlock them. Let the powerups and boosters be the only limited use things. (Or, even better, just remove powerups, and leave the boosters in.) Due to the REQ level system, people would not be able to spam vehicles or stronger weapons as it is. No need for the card limit on top.

But they need to milk money.
Map Packs were the lesser evil compared to this.
