Is Warzone P2W?

So ive just hit SR30 after playing for a little less than week, one thing ive noticed is i basically dont get REQ packs anymore the only ones i get is from promotions and commendations.
When i first started playing the game was basically throwing packs at me so now i managed to get a decent amount of things to use but all this stuff is steadily being used up and im not getting enough back.
Id like someone whos been playing for a while to sort of confirm or deny if this game gets P2W at the later stages.

It is not pay to win by any means. it’s pay to skip the grind that’s is it.

As long as im still able to fight on semi equal terms as the enemy i dont mind grinding

If you don’t have as many reqs unlocked you just have to play tactfully. you just have to know what to call in to help your team be successful. examples being if the other team is calling in vehicles call in your plasma pistol or get a plasma pistol from a dead enemy AI to emp them… are they using long range weapons like sniper rifles… use active camo or a sniper rifle yourself… Or play more defensively and defend bases if you have turrets or shotguns.

More of a Pay2Advantage. The more REQ packs you buy with real money, the more REQs you get, the more REQs you use can turn sides of the game.

You don’t get REQ packs, but are you buying some with you REQ points? You know how it works?

You buy bronze until you have not common left to unlock, then buy Silver until all common through rare are unlock, and then final step is to grind the gold packs

It’s actually not a bad grind to get those reqs without paying. I was able to unlock all common to rare within 5 months once i stopped buying nothing but gold and started maximizing more. However, warzone is largely dependant on who’s got the best reqs and how fast they call em in. All it takes is the enemy team to have a party of two who both call in their wasps after capping the first objective and boom, consider your team trapped at spawn. You can try to break out of it by calling in reqs of your own, but by then the opposing homies got tanks rolling in. So yea, either waste all your reqs in each game to keep an advantage or hope you have a rich teammate my friend.

It’s not pay to win, I constantly played warzone and warzone assault before firefight, I was able to stay on equal terms just using a battle rifle and smg. I lost some and I won some, but I have never payed for commendation packs and I’m now LEVEL 100+ with a near full arsenal and still just use BR SMG for warzone and use my reqs for firefight.

what type of pack are you talking about ???

probably rank up packs as you get them very often in early ranks but then it will not happen very often.

I started playing in march and I never felt let down on packs or P2W.

actually they have added

Daily logging pack
Daily win pack for each game !! WZ, WZFF and arena

that is 4 packs a day for free !! so… c’on don’t complain because new guys have it so easy now.

not to mention that emblems are not part of the “permanent unlock” that packs offers so that reduces the grind even more

Who knows if companies make it easier for paying customers.

I paid for some micro transactions in one of my favorate mobile games and for some reason the game got easier despite it being nothing to do with what I paid for but my random drops for loot improved. What I got for what I paid wasn’t worth it but my RNG improved a lot and what I got in my RNG was way better.

It is-indeed much easier now than at launch, for sure. I like the play flow of WZA and sold all my Req’s that I knew I didn’t like or need. That helps speed things along too.

It’s not play to win because you can have all the best weapons in the world but if you don’t know how to use them you can get destroyed with common loadouts. It does take a slight inkling of skill.

Doesn’t seem like you know about buying req packs with those req points? I had trouble myself at the beginning, had no idea lol. Start with Bronze or Silver then Golds.

Bosses in Wz give good req levels, on Darkstar it’s a race to the Colony for the boss, quickest to req 3.
Apex is whoever gets to the Spire and can hold long enough to take the Boss down . Noctus, Sanctum and Arc all have a single boss for the both teams. Assist in the boss and cap your home armory and you’ll be at req 3 already.

spamming req wont make you win so by default it isnt pay to win.

There is nothing stopping you from killing someone with a high level req and using it. People tend to underestimate the random req cards. They’ve served me well and are more common and take less req energy to use than their normal counterparts. Just their random in what you get.

If you say that pay-to-win is where you pay for an advantage, no matter how small, then, yes, it could be considered pay-to-win.

If you define it as paying for a piece of equipment that automatically makes you god-tier, no, it isn’t really pay to win.

It just depends on what your definition of pay-to-win is.

I think it’s almost pay-to-win. Not quite, but close.

its not pay to win, at the begin of h5’s life time it was, but now it is not.

well, i can’t agree completely on this one.
yeah, you can buy the REQ packs for high REQ weapons,
but you won’t get any -Yoink- done even with an answer or a
nornfang if you don’t know when & how to use it. i’ve looted
so many times answers & other high REQ weapons from people
which i killed with simple loadout weapons, simply because they
thought those weapons made them think they’re invincible lol.

Like what some people say here it’s pay2skip. Money won’t buy you skill it’s just the microtransactions that makes it look like pay2win which needs to be remove in later instalments which Microsoft won’t remove because it’s their big cash cow.

Not pay to win. Just kill an enemy that has a req and take it. Problem solved

Buy bronze and silver packs you will be fine. You can get a good set of useful items per game of warzone req points.
