Is Warzone Firefight better than Firefight?

Hey anybody who is reading this, I have a very simple question that has been on my mind for a long time. Do you think Warzone Firefight is better than Firefight from other Halo games?

Now we all they are now almost completely different from each other, but they are both still massively popular in the Halo community. I have read countless posts on Warzone Firefight, many say it was good, many say it was bad, and lots say it was ugly. I think Warzone Firefight is better than the original, and this next paragraph is why…

I believe Warzone Firefight beats Firefight because it is quicker, it is more gargantous, and it is definitely a lot harder on my count. In each round (which is 5 rounds max), you only have 5 minutes to complete your objective and kill and a TON of enemies coming your way and the never ending spawning the do. You could do that in the original, but it didn’t matter if you did not do it. In the new firefight, failing an objective means failure. The new maps are huge to travel through, considering it’s warzone that isn’t surprising. What I like most in the new firefight is you get to use your REQ points! If you didn’t know that already than I don’t where you live, but you should move. I love using legendary REQs like Prophet’s Bane, Hannibal Scorpean, Song of Peace, and much more.

Well, tell me what you think of the new firefight and maybe answer this question. I would interested in your thoughts.

It depends on my teammates, really.

If I have friends or fellow Spartan Company members with me, I have a great time with Warzone Firefight.

But I miss the customization options from Reach very, very much; editing every individual wave was amazing, and the weapon drops and survival feeling.

If they were a little bit of both I think it would be amazing. I would like it to have a revive teammates kinda deal

I would like to have the option between Warzone and traditional firefight.

I did enjoy Warzone though. Especially the aesthetic of seeing 8 spartan teams moving in unison to kick some -Yoink-.
I just didn’t like how certain rounds were so difficult that less skilled or slower skilled players were just cannon fodder.
I’d be like a bat out of hell going at enemies while assisting team mates.

Odd as it is to say, I miss having those camping sniper Spartans picking targets over my shoulder keeping me on my feet.

They are both very boring

It’s like saying this:
Which is better?
Halo Reach’s massive custom game community games, invasion, btb, firefight, co-op campaign,
Or Halo 5’s arena and Warzone ;/

WZFF is not as good as the original. Since you can spawn in your own power weapons, the mode is too easy and takes very little skill to survive in. I just see as a way to boost my WZ win-loss percentage. I’ll stick with Reach and ODST for the FF thrill.

WZFF matches may play more quickly than FF, but they may not. There a lot of factors which can influence the speed of a match in either game (Reach or 5), and I don’t see a clear difference on this point.

Yes, the mode is more gargantuous (sic) - it would have to be to accomodate the mandatory twelve players. In Reach you could only play up to four, but on the flip side you could play solo (in or out of matchmaking) which is more important to me than just about any other single game feature.

WZFF is only harder if you compare it to the matchmade version of FF in Reach. Reach custom firefight allowed you to make the game as hard (or easy) as you prefer, and let you customize all other manner of features.

I get that you and other players like the ability to use your reqs. The flip side of this, if you choose to look at it this way, is that WZFF is intended to be a req burner, encouraging people to grind for more reqs, or better still for 343, buy them. I’m not judging anyone for wanting to use big guns and I’m not judging 343 for being willing to make money by supplying that demand. It’s just another coin with two sides, and it’s one which favors the grinder over the casual player, and the “heavies” player over the AR/BR foot soldier. I personally got a little tired of watching an entire enemy phalanx get decimated by a guy in a banshee while I was just trying to land a battle rifle headshot or two.

Don’t get me wrong. I liked it. I might have liked it even more if I hadn’t had fresh and happy memories of Reach FF (which I still play on occasion) in my head. But I would definitely prefer a PvE mode where I was genuinely fighting the environment instead of competing against my better armed teammates for kills.

I would say, “No it is not.” I enjoyed warzone firefight and look forward to what it becomes when we finally get it in its final form in July. ODST is the best form of firefight for me. I have fond memories of hooking up with friends and surviving for hours while talking about various things. It was an endless source of enjoyment. In Reach you could play with strangers but the focus was on unlimited fuel rods and high scores as opposed to friendship and survival.

It could compare to Halo Reach Firefight if we get a few characters to select from like we did in Reach. All four members of Blue Team and Fire Team Osiris, Commander Palmer, and maybe Roland.

I am pretty sure it won’t be. Firefight is killing a lot of normal enemies when Warzone Firefight is mostly killing bosses. It would be great if there just made a more advanced version of Halo: Reach’s Firefight.

Firefight was better purely because it was customization and that always wins out. In Reach we got to choose starting weapon, what enemies spawned, what our health and other stats were like, the enemies stats, and how long it lasted. Each round could be way harder or infinitely easier than WZFF depending on what option was selected. In WZFF you’re stuck with the randomly selected rounds, each of which will only last a maximum of five minutes. I loved WZFF, it’s a fun game mode and if it had the options that reach had than I would very happily call it better.

Well why do you say that?

I completely believe you have a great point there. There were many aspects of Reach that was better and made mor sense than in 5, but same for 5. Answering this question all depends on what factor of the firefight type you are looking at. I was reading some of the answers here and a majority claim Reach was better because of the customization options in firefight. However, some don’t talk to highly or at all about the public matchmaking. Which I should have been more clear about but is the matchmaking part of firefight I am speaking about.

Hard to beat ODST FF. This said Halo 5 FF wasn’t bad, but needs some work. Also Warzone FF is better then just normal warzone that’s for sure. I hope warzone is gone from Halo 6 and they actually put some effort into BTB in Halo 6 and just have FF off the bat in Halo 6 instead.

Warzone Firefight is not better than Firefight. But, Warzone Firefight is better than Warzone.

They both were awesome IMO. I did like the old Firefight a bit more since you could customize it so much and make it as easy or as tough as you wanted.

I do agree with you, Warzone Firefight plays better than the previous versions the only thing that kinda sucked about it was the variety in enemies but it was a beta so I’m not that bad.

I just want flood
