Is Warzone Firefight a deployment or simulation?

Because personally I’m tired of this simulation and honestly was never a fan of it from the beginning.

It was cool to here that MP would be canon but I only thought it’d be in the way that Spartans did trained similarly to how MP was played. Sort of like how we saw Lasky and his squad played CTF. Side note, Lasky is looking great for his age. Now back during halo 4 t wasn’t so bad because Spartan ops had us playing in deployments actually out affecting the Halo universe so it was to a more then comfortable level for me but now with Breakout where people bet money on Spartan blood sport, it seems to of gotten out of hand.

I liked the idea of Fireteam Crimson (who have mysteriously vanished…please don’t black team them 343i) on days they aren’t fighting Jul would hit the training sim for a relaxed but highly active sparring matches with Shadow and Majestic. (Teams who’ve also vanished) But me just being in a simulation just sounds odd. I didn’t really come to play Halo for the Matrix.

Awhile ago I saw a group of people talking about how they viewed the old MP as a type of Valhalla. You weren’t playing as MC or Emile but you we’re a god of war taking their image as you and your friends tested each others mettle. It’s a pretty cool interpretation of MC for video games and something I’ve slowly been pushed towards when a game doesn’t explain the purpose for the fighting, which IMO isn’t a bad thing at all because stuff like this is made.

But then again, the simulation idea could of been a member of 343i’s interpretation of MP,s o they pitched the idea, it went over well and where we are. I guess the only down side is it being forced unto those who had different ideas.

I guess I kind of derailed there but Firefight being a deployment or detached from the simulation seems like it’d be a nice change up. While I’d prefer it to be an actual deployment because killing simulated Wardens and Grunt Gods doesn’t have the same impact as being the person to fire the bullet heard around the world.

It’s a simulation

Palmer tells you it is a simulation. I like that the whole MP is canon. To me it gives me a sense of immersion.
