So I know that wargames are supposed to be simulated practice battles aboard the infinity but what are warzone matches? You fly in on a pelican so I dont think its a simulation
I don’t see why Infinity wouldn’t be able simulate a Pelican flying Spartans into battle, they simulate every other vehicle. Besides, Warzone still has Spartans fighting against each other, so it would have to be a simulation.

But there are marines and prometheans not to mention why fly them in if its just a simulation? Plus how could they simulate a life form (the prometheans) that immediately dissolves after death.
It is still a simulation just on a much larger scale.

The marines and prometheans are just to help in the training they are digital. They fly them in on pelicans so the Spartans can get used to it and to make simulation seem more real.
Its all in The Matrix… We must get out…
Why would spartans be fighting each-other unless it was a simulation? Also, at the beginning of the match it says “Initiating warzone simulation…”
I’m pretty sure all of matchmaking is still considered the War Games simulation on Infinity just like Halo 4. I cannot recall where, but Palmer still refers to it as War Games.
The wargames are a simulation that honestly have endless abilities and scenarios that can be produced
This new clash of teams with AI enemies in the middle definitely is a new approach. If its simulated maybe it’s desgin to pit UNSC troops against Rebel forces while in active combat against other factions. Just a thought.

Yep, That is if it was too do with the lore though
Everything that isn’t campaign in Halo 5 is a Wargames simulation. The enemies and marines are all holographic AI, like the map and all the vehicles. The only thing which I don’t understand is how respawning works.
There is no spoon…(ಠ_ಠ)
I’m pretty certain it is still a simulation, with the rate that technology progresses in our time, it just seems reasonable that they advanced the simulation that much in their time to get the Spartans ready for everything haha.
Yeah it’s just a very intricate and realistic simulation designed to give spartan IVs a real way to hone their skills.
Hmm my only question is how they can so accurately display the prometheans if they have no promethean bodies to do research on.
It is a simulation, why else would Palmer say initiating warzone simulation.

They could probably get a dumb AI to program how the prometheans to attack and move, based off real world encounters.

Experience and footage from other Spartan IVs and possibly Locke and Master Chief while out on the field?
is that why the boss’s have funny names like captain hestro as it is the spartans sense of humor when programming them ?

Yeah I guess so, just seems odd to me. But yeah thats probably why they have those weird names
