Is using Reqs in Warzone actually worth it?

So I decided to do a little test with some reqs where I actually counted how many things I spawned in were actually effective against the enemy - I found that most of the time (As 6-7/10 times) spawning in a req actually doesn’t help improve my score an awful lot.

Just a disclaimer: I am aware that use of reqs is situational AND that I’m probably not the best player in warzone ALSO I know the effectiveness of a weapon/vehicle depends on how good it actually is and how far through the game it is BUT, surely even a weak power weapon should be better than using loadout weapons?

A lot of the time I feel like I’m wasting my reqs.

Please tell me your thoughts/advice on the matter, it has finally bothered me enough to post about it

Thanks

How effective a req is is completely depended on who is using it and how good they are with it. Naturally some players can use certain weapons more effectively than others. I think in general spawning in reqs will definitely improve your score.

If you and your team don’t call in reqs, you will lose the game every time.

I will say it again so that everyone on this forum doesn’t get the wrong idea.

If you and your team don’t call in reqs, YOU WILL LOSE THE GAME EVERY TIME.

Without reqs you can’t effectively counter enemy reqs/vehicles. And you won’t be able to do enough DPS to bosses to get the points from their kills.

You should never ever have more than 3 unspent req points imo.

Warzone was built around using reqs so if you don’t use them you won’t be very effective. Granted you can have some success without them but if others aren’t using them you will get stomped.

The only req I’ll ever spawn myself is a default sniper so

They are but I find the lower level reqs the most practical, with the exception of Prophet’s Bane I never spawn anything past level 3 when it comes to hand weapons and I never really go above level 4 for vehicles either sides Phaetons. I primarily use overshield and active camo to get through warzone.

It depends on if your good with vehicles and power weapons, I’ve played a lot with just load out weapons and came top on the leaderboard.

Of course it is. Using power weapons is way more fun than sticking with a BR or Magnum. Even if you are totally bad at it.

Yes this exactly there are some who can use loadouts and do good and some who can use certain reqs to do good some people are good with sniper rifles and some are good with things like rocket launchers it all depends on what type of player you are me personally I normally go for CQB since I am very good with shotguns and energy swords

Yes as that’s the only thing it is meant for but also it depends which one you use like the answer is an amazing it shreds through Spartans and some light vehicles and then we have the oni rocket pod sounds good but sucks but what I am trying to say overall is yes reqs are worth using but experiment and see which ones your good with and like

The thing that really bothers me in WZ FF, is that we can’t get ammo for our power weapons.

Even the best snipers, rocket launchers, etc should have infinite ammo upgrades at the REQ station in FF (obviously not in regular WZ). With that setup, the vehicles would still be the most effective by far and away, but at least using a nice power weapon would be somewhat effective, and way more fun.

Just my two cents.

Lmao

If I was you, I’d spawn only the good stuff like snipers, rail gun, and rocket launcher.

I mainly use BR and magnum and come out on top with most kills

Not sure if you are taking advantage of lower level reqs, but try that as well. Base level suppressors and boltshots (level one) and needler and carbine at two. Yes, reqs are vital.

Regardless of your skill level, you should be seeing some improvement. Try random reqs as well and powerups. Combine them when you can. Playing with friends is best.
Crack that WhipCheck out Aozolai’s great video series on weapon analysis to learn everything about them and how to use them. Carbines

I agree with this - I don’t think I actually have enough experience with a lot of reqs to do that well. Perhaps Super Fiesta is a solution to this?

I would love to never have more than 3 unspent req points at all times! What about opening packs for replacement reqs though? Do you end up using more than you get?

I think it gets harder and harder to be effective with loadout weapons as more and more people get more and more reqs as time passes.

Good strategy, I often forget about the powerups, do you play aggressively or more defensively while using the ones you mentioned?

Very true! Warzone can turn into quite a drag just using loadout weapons - although I find I seem to be rubbish at using reqs too…
