I had this idea constantly wrapped around my mind since I played Warzone Turbo…is Turbo the real version of Warzone?
In general was this how the original Warzone should have played and felt like? I understand the REQ system was added as a meter that allowed you to access different tiers of weapons/vehicles/mods through “objective” based game play (i.e. killing Spartans, bosses, capture/defend bases), but that’s not really a Warzone when you have to wait till mid-game to call in your Scorpion or Banshee.
Accelerated REQs, having access to everything available in your armory, instantly, sounds like a much better, faster, crazier concept than the slow paced version we have now.
I can already feel the heat, but please be easy when you decide to flame me!
No, but it is definitely a fun mode. The insanity of Turbo would be too much for it being the full time mode
no because it removes the budgeting your reqs and the early game cat and mouse of trying to play aggressive to get your level up without feeding the enemy too many kills
No it’s a special event. Its best it stays one.

Yup, this.
No, but it is the most fun.
In a Community Update, Bravo said that Warzone Turbo was just a modified version of Warzone. Its purpose was just to let the developers see how all the reqs worked, it was never meant to be a playable playlist, but seeing how fun it was, they decided to make it public.
It’s the best way to complete vehicle commendations! I would be lucky to see a third of the vehicles in regular warzone or use as many vehicles.
Still…doesn’t Turbo feel like an actual Warzone? You have banshees, tanks, mantis, ghosts, people running around camo’d up with shotties, snipping around every corner. Wouldn’t the REQ system work better, if you paid ($/RP) for something that you could use at any moment (once your meter recharges) instead of “getting” to a specific REQ level which often times…happens too late for some, if not, most?
All I’m saying is, Halo 6 version of Warzone better be Turbo-style, cause this snail of a mode we have doesn’t feel much like a war, more like pulling teeth. When you can’t get out of your own home base cause you don’t have enough REQ levels to get to a tank or banshee and clear some room, I think this is what Turbo allows you to do; cut the “farming” out by giving you access to all items despite your struggles, and fight your way out, not just lame like a duck in a corner.
It’s the most fun mode, but not the “real” version. If it was the only version we had, nobody would have any REQs, and people would be complaining that 343 made the biggest REQ sinkhole of a gamemode to suck money out of its players. People complain about that now and it’s not even a permanent playlist.

This, it was basically just a tweaked mode of what the developers used to test req weapons

Yeah, I just spam reqs win turbo, so perm turbo=me reqless.

Why is it not really a warzone when u call in your scorpion or banshee mid-game? Also I usually reach req lv 6 when the game is 1/3 done and not mid-game
I love turbo and wish it was permanent.

Well, that’s you, and maybe me on a good day. Most players barely reach REQ 7 by the time the Final Boss spawns. Not that it matters anyways: not a single Level 8 REQ is lower than Ultra Rare, and since most players aren’t that far into the REQ system (at least the Casual ones, the ones that make up the majority of any game’s playerbase), they probably won’t be able to use anything at that level anyways.
No. Turbo is an opportunity to use req’s that you may not use often. 343 explained that Turbo was used for req testing internally.
Honestly, I love Turbo. Idk why 343 makes it a temporary playlist. It’s way more fun.

actually militaries have budgets too
just bigger than the unimportant stuff like education
Yes, because unlike WZ or WZA I actually have fun in Turbo.
