Seriously, I want to complain about every last detail of Halo 4 while comparing it to the (gasp) perfect Halo 1/2/3/Reach?.
Guyz, it’s just like CoD because of loadouts, and the DMR is very overpowered even when it has been nerfed… Also, everybody that likes Halo 4 is a loser and a fanboy.
The only “good” thing about it is the campaing…

This is what this forum is becoming, putting aside the actual mistakes to fix…
I’m loving Halo 4, and, IMO, it’s the best Halo so far. 343i has really put their effort in this. The only issues I see are balancing, and that problem because of the Spec codes (along with the whole idea of Specializations…).
But, even so, I consider it the best Halo to date.
It’s nothing new. There are some legitimate complaints, some really good ones too, but the overwhelming majority of it is the same typical frothy rage that the Halo community was known for on bungie.net.
First Halo CE was terrible because it went from Mac exclusive to Microsoft Xbox exclusive. (Bungie at the time, as well as the majority of it’s fans were Mac people)
Then Halo 2 was the death of the series for various reasons.
Then Halo 3 was the death of the series for various reasons.
Then ODST was the death of the series and declared a cash-in for various reasons.
Then Wars was the death of the series again for various reasons.
The Reach was the death of the series for various reasons.
It’s a never ending cycle with the Halo playerbase, nothing new here.
Yep, Flame Retardant material aside, all the hate/grief/complaints/gripes have a positive side. That is it shows that people care enough to make the comments. I’m thinking that if Halo didn’t have the rabid(?) fan base it does, that none of us would bother to read/post on the Forum.
Now, do I like to hear the negatives? Not really. I freaking love this game, and I’ve loved every incarnation of Halo. Hell, I even have the proverbial t-shirt. Halo 4 is a departure - somewhat/a lot - from the previous games and that upsets some. 343 was cognizant of that from the get go. But they had to do something different, or we’d all just say that this is Halo: Reach, Part II. Or something.
That said, let the flames burn on, and rants keep coming. Viva spirited debate (or however you say that…).
The thing is, many aren’t simply critical of the game they love, as you are.
Many just come on and post demands about what they want changed and that any other way is ludicrous and 343 must do what they want right away OR TEH ELSE!
That’s the difference. If people simply have no joy in playing the game, they won’t ever.

But it’s true! :o
AI were way more believable with their animations.
Guns had so many uses.
Vehicles had so many uses.
Level design was brilliant (except in the last few missions).
Dialogue is on par if not greater than CE’s sequels.
Music wasn’t always infinitely looping and could die down.
Graphical effects were so much more convincing (going down the elevator with Grunty blood stretching miles downward, massive plasma grenade chain reaction explosions, enemy blood).
Do you have a problem with people voicing their opinion on the franchise they love? Think about both sides of the “Complaining” before you assume people are just whiny.
Actually, you seem pretty whiny just for making this thread.
If people want to speak their opinion they should be able to. They should be able to do it here, on twitter, on bungie, on their bio, on the internet, on the sidewalk, anywhere.
The mere fact that you have zero intolerance for players with different opinions, it is a bigger annoyance than any thread I will ever read.
To think that you have the audacity to stifle an entire community of frustrated players, just because youre “Tired of seeing hate threads”.
