I was playing a match of Warzone Assault and I killed some dude who dropped what was labeled as an energy sword, but was textured like a power up, and when picking it up if played the animation of putting on OS. I was surprised even more when it started glitching out my weapons.

That would be nice, I’m curious.
IIRC 343 planned on making it so the pick-ups could be “delayed”. This could just be leftovers of their code. There’s been times where the game simply didn’t register my power up and could’ve just set it in the state that your enemy had it.

Yeah, I watched the whole match from the guy’s perspective and what happened was he ordered an Active Camo but he didn’t receive it on spawn. A minute later his character performed the animation as if he were then activating but it had no effect. The same weapon glitch then happened to him, and when he died, he dropped the power up that he never actually used.
It’s pretty interesting, sort of like a curse to whoever picks it up.
I’ve had similar glitch in warzone where I picked up energy sword on ground and it gave me a third weapon which was blank on my screen
Weird, but if it’s a hack I fail to see the advantage so I’d say glitch.
