ive noticed that most aspects of reach are changable, armour ammount, radar range, speed, damage, ammo count, bloom, and more!
what if these aspects where applied to the armour? we after all base our armour on what it looks like it does so why not make it do that for example…
plated armour gives more damage resistence.
armour with bullets gives more ammo
shock absorbing armour removes bloom.
visors adjust zoom amount
wrist pads adjust HUD range, or shotgun ammo?
maybe the knee pads can factor into running speed/armour ammount.
any other ideas that can be encoded?
If i were 343 id make a game type where these factored in. which would make a far more interesting beta :).
its probs out of the question but something to wonder about lol
Your not the first person to come up with this idea. But although its seems fun to have armour actually do something there would be to much going on. Armour Abilities are enough to deal with as it is. Maybe in halo 4 if they removed armour abilities altogether and replaced them with Armour Variant abilities it could work. But definitely not for reach.
I am not one to usually shoot down things outright but this is not what I want from Halo…ever. It may be fun in some games but I can’t and don’t want to see it in Halo.
I agree with the concept, just not in the current game. You think the complaints of AA are bad, could you imagine what the forums would look like with this.
That being said. That type of custom armor abilities would be very interesting, maby not it the Halo world, it would add a very destinct use to the armor you would select. And what play type you would use it in.
It’s a fair idea to have but should stay in “what if” realm.
This would make the playing field incredibly uneven. Right now, having the same armor attributes for all players means that the only difference between everyone is their overall skill. If that is negated because someone can throw more bullets at you while taking more damage, nobody will want to play anymore and Reach has enough haters as it is.
