I saw the Nightfall armor from the Halo 5 beta, which looked more like a plastic action figure than a Spartan. please please please tell me this is not the replacement or new version of ODST armor. ODST’s are among my favorite part of halo and this Nightfall stuff makes it look like they’re a kids Halloween costume.
I think you can get Buck’s ODST helmet which looks a lot better than the Nightfall one.

It was the beta. It looks like they didn’t have time to finish all of the detail.
Well nightfall is ODST armor, its a variant of ODST with Mjolnir technology. You can’t have ODST armor because at that point count out having energy shields and powered armor

A lot of the armor looks like a plastic action figure, that’s just how it is this time around. It will look better with the actual games HD graphics though.

It’s also a nod to the Halo 2 ODST armor.

I think the cartoon look is due to the plastic looking color design. If it was faded matte like reach, everything would look a bit better
Nightfall just looks like ODST meshed with Mark V, while Helljumper is closer look to ODST armor as you can, plus it says in the description of the armor that, the CEO of the company that made the armor was a former ODST.
Yep, no real ODST but the Helljumper helmet is really close. And the nightfall armor is closer to ODST than the Helljumper. But, neither is as bad as the Halo 4 ODST.

Hell jumper looks awesome. I don’t know what people are getting flustered about. It looks just as good if not better.
