Hey guys so iv been wondering a couple of things over the past couple of months and wanted your opinion. so one crazy though iv been having is, well if they get around showing us Master chiefs face in Halo six do you guys think it will look like Steve Downes? lol just a funny thought. another thought 343i said that they wouldn’t be adding anymore characters to the game series… now i’m hoping that this means more time with chief but what about all the other “loose ends” in the halo universe. after watching the end of halo wars 2 i’m pretty positive that they will be joining the halo wars universe and the main halo universe together, but does this mean they will actually have missions where you fight along side or as Jerome and his fire team? Another thing, if this is the last halo game ( as of right now i’m not aware of any other new titles coming out after halo 6 right now) are they going to re incorporate, people like Jun? I feel like for this to be the end, there would have to be a TON of campaign missions? i thought i could be the reason for halo 5 to be incomplete, because they had HW2 in the way and to make deadlines they had to start on Halo 6 Infinite asap. another thing i noticed. Halo 5 is not just Halo 5 its Halo 5 Guardians and Halo 6 is to be called Halo 6 Infinity. what do you guys think this means? maybe marketing? let me know what you think and some other things you might want to see in the upcoming halo Infnity. Personally i would like to see playable missions as elites, like in the past.
Keep in mind that it’s usually a good idea to not slip too much information about future plans until close to the release date. For one, plans are prone to changing, and no one likes being promised something only for that to be canceled. Also, the more time between the announcement and the release, the more likely it is to be hyper-analyzed and criticized when the finished project might not even include what the people are being critical of.
So I highly doubt Halo’s ending after 6, especially since there’s a new Halo arcade game, and I believe we have a TV series coming. I expect Halo to be around for a long time to come.
Also, Halo is already a coherent universe between the differing mediums, and characters do weave in and out of the various stories. I personally suspect and hope that Halo 6 will combine the stories of Halo Wars 2 and Halo 5 with the Infinity fleeing to the Ark and then joining up with the Spirit of Fire.

343 wanted to move away from numbered titles in games. Bonnie actually wanted to do this for Halo 4, they took a step closer with Halo 5: Guardians and have now finally dropped number for Halo Infinity. You can think of Halo Infinity as Halo 6, but there’s no 6 in there title
If 343i has been quoted saying there won’t be any more new characters, that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t see the characters from Halo Wars in Infinite. At the very least, they’d be mentioned for having been found after so many years and for discovering a new faction to fight. At least, that’s what makes sense in my mind for resolving any loose ends.
I’ve been thinking about Steve Downes being Chief’s face for a while. That would be so cool.

With Halo Wars 2 redesigning some characters to match their VA’s, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they modeled Chief after a slightly younger Downes. It would be very fitting and a great nod to the work he’s done in the series all these years.
I always thought the Chief would look like Steve Downes. As far as introducing new characters, the characters in Halo Wars aren’t new characters, I think they mean there just not creating new characters. I fully expect Halo Wars 2 to play a big part in Halo Infinite.

This made me chuckle. If Chief’s face would look like Steve Downes, I wouldn’t mind it. If anything it would probably be for the best.
I hope they never show Chief’s face, actually. Leaving it up to the imagination is a lot more fun, in my opinion. But if they absolutely plan on showing it in the future, I suppose I’m also in the “resemble Steve Downes somewhat” camp.

It may also be that they will end a Spartan but continue with another and therefore continue the history of Halo, who knows we can expect everything from 343 industries
Just to throw a thought out there.
With the entire Halo Universe- Everything from Books, lore, cannon, non cannon, and games… There are alot of characters to choose from. Not adding anymore characters isn’t a bad thing considering we have a long list of characters to choose from.
Examples:
- Forerunners from the Forerunner Saga- Highly unlikely but not impossible to see them in a game - Covenant Species- so many names already mentioned that we could get lost in. - Humanity- so many mentioned also - Gravemind/flood- so many different possibilities - AI- lets face it, too many to countSo yeah i’d say we’re good on characters for a while.

hey sorry to sink your boat but I’m pretty sure if you watch the intro in the Master chief collection for the very first campaign mission they literally show chiefs face as a kid. now if you don’t believe me watch… what was it… I think halo the fall of reach, and compare chiefs face in that to that of the cinematic.
Games and books will be in their own streamlines with very little crossovers

Don’t worry, one could imagine and deduce the appearance of chief
