Ive comeback to halo 5 after 2 weeks from being away, really enjoyed it and all. So coming back, had 3 games and played the same people 3 times straight, I’m not sure if the population is dead or whether or not I’m finding smaller pools of people within Dimond/Onyx
Is there an explanation or is the interest in Halo just disappeared
I don’t think it’s an drop, usually if the other team doesn’t leave during the intermission you’ll play against them again. Had a few games like that myself, but usually I’m playing new people every time. Also usually the higher you go in rank the smaller the pool is so that could be the reason for getting people again and again is due to the small rank pool, though you should be facing people a rank below and above you as well.

If you check the dashboard store, browse all games you get to see the 10 most played games on live. Right now Star Wars is at #7 and H5 is #8, you then check the stat page for Star Wars ( http://swbstats.com/ ) to see how many players are online on that game, this way you get a rough estimate on how many players H5 has.
In Australia I can’t find a match after 10pm, there simply are not enough people playing H5
Its the least selling halo of all time and sits on average around 8th on the XBL most played games, meaning that at peak time the game has maybe around 50,000 people playing and at off peak tiems the game drops to around 10th or 11th which means roughly a 20k population
I don’t think its a disintrest in halo, H5 sold 1.5 milion copies in the first week, and we know that all of the people who bough H5 have internet because they need the internet for the day one update to play
so where are the over 1 million people who bought the game?
If the game sold 1.5 million coppies and yet only 50k people play it a peak times, to me that means that people are still interested in halo people just aren’t intrested in the direction 343i is taking halo
You can count on EA and Activision releasing shooters at the same time as Halo releases as well these days. Pretty sure they want to see Halo dead and buried some times.

Nice.
When I play REACH, I see EXACTLY 1.) ho many people in TOTAL are play REACH, and 2.) how many people are playing the SPECIFIC GAME MODE.
WOW. Genius move Bungie. I guess that simple Community Counter must take a toll on the Frame Rates, otherwise I’m sure 343 would have incorporated a counter into ANY of their games

H4 had population count per playlist…I’m not quite sure why you really need it. If you like the game and can find a match…who really gives a -Yoink-? 2000 people could be playing and as long as I can find a match, I really don’t care

I can only speak for myself and my friends (although I’ve read similar things here). But out of the 15 or so people I know that got it none of us have played it in a couple weeks. 5 of us used to be die hard Halo fans. Although only 2 of us (myself included) actually liked H4.
