Is this a surprise?

Is 343 trying to surprise us by purposefully using an old demo? When Series X comes out with infinite will we blown away by the graphics of it,
thinking back on how cartoony the demo’s were. They might just be building up on people’s low expectations to surprise them when they may or may not buy the game. Of course this is a theory, but it would be great if it were true, maybe?

That either sounds like the worst or the best marketing strategy ever. Probably the worst.

Yeah, this would make 343 get hated even more than they already are.

Look, we’re all trying to cope with the reveal but intentionally causing outrage within the gaming community was definitely not their plan.

Something like the movie sonic.
It would be weird, but it may or may not work.

I thought the reveal was pretty good, it’s just a thought I had.

Now this is a new level of cope.

I don’t know, but there has to be some kind of pattern here. This is a months old demo (and could even have been run on midrange hardware instead of Series X equivalent hardware), which was confirmed and that is all we know. If the demo is truly months old (and again, “supposedly” running on midrange hardware, according to a leaker), why would they release this? They would know that showing the more complete version of the game would be best. The only reasons I could think of as to why they would do this is that it’s either the most stable version they have so far or, conspiracy theory time, they did this intentionally.

Would it benefit them to show an earlier version of the game intentionally? Perhaps. Perhaps it doesn’t even matter- if their marketing is good enough and they get out to enough people the more complete version of the game then it doesn’t matter what they showed in July.

And if you want to go even further down the rabbit hole, what if Craig was intentional? You know, the meme Brute. That meme is doing pretty well and is getting Infinite out there. There might really be no such thing as bad press. I mean, Airpod sales apparently went up after all those memes, it’s basically free advertisement.
