Is this a Joke?

I mean seriously, they say their updates are a result of fan feedback, but I have not seen a SINGLE post asking for more skins, let alone weapon skins that look like they belong in my little pony. It feels they are bloating the REQ system, just to make it harder to get the things we want. In the last two updates, not much encouraged me to play the game more, other than the Noctus map and forge of course, but the REQs DISCOURAGE me to play, because:

1- Most of the new ones are ugly

2- They bloat the system- Reducing the chances of getting that amour you want, even the commons and uncommons. For example, I am yet to get The Viper armour I’ve wanted since day one (body armour, the helmet looks horrible)

3- I’ve said this before, but NOBODY asks for more skins, I only see people ask for fan favourite items like the Gravity hammer and the SPNKR, those are fine, if only fan favourite, and fan requested REQs were in, I would be fine with them, but no, it’s all thing that are simply there to take up space.

Fileshare, forge fixes have been asked for a long time! The lobby as well, why can’t it be like reach? Reach had lobbies PERFECT! You could clearly see who was still in, and who quit after the match (currently you can’t see who is still in the lobby when a match ends, unless they are in your fire team)
Many great ideas have been suggested, even PvE warzone, one of the biggest requests, and not even A WORD from them! At the least, they could have said they acknowledge the fans want PvE warzone, and that they are working on it. Something simple like that, to prove they really do take fan feedback into consideration. Now there are good things in this update, like the increased time for weapons from a killed player to stay on the map, and the remix maps ( even though they are remixes, at least they are something right? Better than just the REQs )

Gametypes are on their way, I understand that, but what about the rest?

Lastly, I must emphasise that I am not hating the game or 343, I play it daily and I LOVE it, but I see its potential, I see what it is lacking, I see what the fans have been begging for, and to have them give us these silly skins almost makes me feel like they are taunting us. And before you say it, yes I already know gametypes are coming, hence why it was not one of my complaints on this update. Apologies if this was more on the side of a rant, but I’m sick of seeing these updates being dominated by REQs, I know 343 can do better than this.

The problem with this is, the people who makes skins can’t do any of the other things. They can’t fix bugs or code gamemodes, they can make 3D models and playtest, and that’s probably all they can do. I hate some of the new skins but I do enjoy adding REQs to my collection.

I understand that, I’m not saying to stop the REQs, just saying to stop having them as the dominant feature of these updates. I’m not telling the art people to stop making and REQs and make game modes, I know that’s not how it works.

I thought the feedback was from our surveys, I doubt they look at these posts much.

I do those as well, however, my point still stands. The forum members getting behind the big idea for PvE warzone, only to be ignored and have more REQs added. As I said, all they had to do was ACKNOWLEDGE that the fans want it, but no, they keep rolling the REQS and counting the $$$ from the you tubers who wet themselves over them in their vids after paying hundreds for the packs.

Edit- They do look at these posts. The amount of times I’ve seen them answer questions about people buying req packs ain’t funny. I remember seeing a thread asking about buying the premium packs a few months back, they answered the question ASAP. But the threads with the ideas to improve the game were ignored, this shows me their intentions.

Good job for actually understanding how things work, I appreciate it. But I think REQs will continue to be the dominant feature because they are so easy to make. Trust me, I’d love to see Infection coming out along with a buttload of REQs, but since it takes so much longer to make REQs will probably continue to be the most abundant parts of the updates.

Indeed, also,I would prefer LESS REQs, maybe 10 per update, but quality, fan favourite ones. The armour in the new update is better than most of the armour in the game, but it’s nothing to be excited about. If they brought the Mark V from the Halo 4 DLC for example, that would be good. If they say, had an update surrounding Noble teams armour, and brought us Jun, Emile, Jorges helmets, that would be good. Their art team can make better things than these silly skins we are seeing. I would also like to see proper Spartan armour that is easier to get, as with reach for example, you get some really nice looking armour without having to grind or pay. But in this, I’ve been playing since day one, and I still don’t have the armour I’ve been after (uncommon- Viper, as I said in OP, as well as noble- Rare). Maybe have the Halo 4 mark V as rare? Things like this would get me excited to play the game, make me feel these updates are genuine. But this one feels like the weakest so far.

But you don’t know if you’re being ignored or not, if they are taking notice of some posts they’re not going to reveal it until they’re ready, I don’t agree with all they do either, but we won’t get all our wishes, all we can do is continue with our surveys and hope.

I did not say for them to reveal it. I said to ACKNOWLEDGE that they know we want it. Big difference mate.

My previous point still stands, where they seem to only reply to questions on the REQ system, rather than big requests.

I meant let on that they’re taking notice, or acknowledge it, if they did that and nothing came of it the community would be pointing more fingers, maybe they reply to req questions as they’re able to, the bigger projects are probably harder to implement, if they were to reveal they’re working on Ranked Warzone or PvE the members of the community that want it would be all over it, demanding updates and time frames for release, tell me I’m wrong on that one, I’m the same, I want more from them, there’s a saying, (sometimes no news is good news). EDIT = They also stated recently they had surprises for us, they can’t do that if let too much out.

so i guess you miss the parts where they say file share will be updated, and gametypes are coming.

You forget, it doesn’t matter if it isn’t coming now to this community.

Because play-testing and bugfixing aren’t development processes, or anything.

Acknowledge means, that they tell us that they know we want it, that’s all. That would relieve a lot, and that’s all I’m saying. Acknowledge does not mean " hey guys PvE warzone is coming in the next update". It means more on the lines of " We know you guys want PvE warzone, and we are planning it" much like how they acknowledged the Gametypes in this update.

I guess they only care about REQs and nothing else

And I guess you missed the part where I said I know gametypes are coming. You clearly did not read the post. In terms of file share, I did not see that in the update, even though I just read the whole thing, I’ll read it again then…

Read the OP again. I clearly noted I know gametypes are coming, and that is not my problem. My problem is with the REQs dominating the updates, but you would not know that as you clearly did not read. Before you make a non constructive post, at least read the OP. Contributing to the thread would also help.

its been said since they first brought file share to h5. they mention in the 2nd paragraph

We have a file browser mate, not file share.

And i I know something is coming, but they were not clear about it. I should have mentioned that in the OP. But my point still stands, why focus so much on REQs? Do you agree that not saying a word about PvE warzone, the biggest request, is a little odd? As I said, I don’t hate the game, I love it, there is no need to feel anyone has to defend them from my post, I am making observations, and as I said in the OP, I see where this game is lacking and where it can be improved.

They could make a better use of every art team member by burning the Seeker armor and helmet pieces. Or brainwashing them to never think of anything similar ever again. I personally think that they should bring back EVERY Halo 3 armor piece, just like they did with Security.

Indeed, too bad they ruined the security helmet somehow, it looks so ugly to me for some reason, I can’t quite place my finger on it though.
