So, I’m not trying to bypass when I say this, but I one posted the word: “link to the CLEAN word”
This is rated T for Teen (Halo 5 era) c’mon! You think teenagers and even 10-year-olds aren’t saying this crap???
I can understand censoring the F word and things like that, but “Damn” and “What the Hell” and “Bass…TURD” are used throughout the halo games, are they going to bleep those out when they remaster Halo 3?
Sorry for the rant. Please, if this post get’s locked, or if I get banned, they’ve only proven my point.
Well, when you come into the forum, you are subjecting yourself to the terms of use laid out by the Forum team (and the mods who enforce those terms). The rules are clearly laid out; if you break them, expect consequences.
For instance, one of those rules is that you agree not to post about moderator decisions. Doing so subjects you to potentially getting the thread locked or even your account banned. Here is that clause, found in the Forum Rules post stickied in this very forum:
> Do not repost content a moderator has removed, repost a topic that has been locked, remove a post edited by a moderator or post about forum moderation decisions. If you have a question or concern about a forum moderation decision, please private message the applicable moderator.

Still, no need for people to abuse their power.
If you are trying to make a compelling argument, I always find it beneficial to keep it clean. It’s professional, it gets the point across and frankly if you make them angry while doing it it feels more satisfying.
I am not a fan of swearing no matter how “minor” it seems. I think the censorship is great.

What abuse of power? This website is 343 Industries and their admins and moderators obey their rules.
If you want to use swear words in real life then that’s totally cool. Sure some of the games have swear words, but the games aren’t the forums. On these forums the site admins have decided that swearing won’t be allowed. It’s not censorship, you can still express your views as long as you follow the rules of the forum and it’s perfectly easy to do so without swearing.

Oh, hey, bro! I agree, I don’t swear much, but the word I linked is NOT A SWEAR WORD.

Fair, i suppose. I just feel restricted.

I mean, some dude was saying that I “never used an original xbox” and “never played Halo before the MCC” (Completely untrue, the Xbox is my first and favorite console, etc.) I told him that he was being a jerk and knew nothing about me, and I got suspended.
If you want to discuss any action taken against you, you’re welcome to send a message to the moderator in question. If you flaming/attacking/name calling another user, then you would have been in breach of the rules. With that, I think we’ve reached an answer with this topic now
