Is there still an sr-70 lvl cap

Hi I just got Halo 4 due to the fact my son was born with TEF and I’ve spent the months of October, November, and December in a children’s hospital. I have not had much time for video games since he was born as I’m sure anyone with a child could understand. I’m currently at sr-31 and am wondering if there is still a cap on sr-70 after all this time.
If there is I will simply just go back to playing Halo:Reach. I think a cap for this length of time (if there is still one) is unfair being as though after sr-70 you get the helpful perks that come with the specializations. I realize I will probably get flamed for not reading all the posts about this topic and finding the answer on my own. But I’m on my phone so it’s a pain in the rear to go through everything and asking is simply easier.I think the cap in the first place for the length of time it was or is is not right. Some people couldn’t get the game immediatly and play the two weeks after for good reason and I’m sure some could not afford the LE. I’m not going to succumb to buying the codes off eBay or beg for a code on a forum I simply will not waste my time playing the game anymore and go back to Bungie’s last game which I found more challenging anyway. Sorry about the rant and please can someone let me know if the cap is still ongoing? thank you.

Level cap went away a few months ago.

You can now advance all the way to SR-130. Just remember to pick a Specialization to advance in every ten ranks, after you hit SR-70; if you forget, then your potential XP will go to waste.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks man. I appreciate it. I still think it was uncalled for lol.
The fact that people who lived in Europe had to wait so long.
The reason I was worried was that I saw posts dated around Feb 25 but that coulda been posts from Europe.
