Is there some kind of Spartan Ops story going on?

So theres a little tutorial mode called academy which has a small story about your spartan and the other remaining Spartans.

In the season 2 trailer for infinite theres some sort of small cutscene in it.

Are these just cinematics or is there a game mode of sorts appealing?

Yes. Like what they do with Call of Duty.

There’s confirmed a cutscene, but that’s it.
All we know is that there are seasonal cutscenes, but for all we know, they are small missions that you can play, whether by yourself or with friends.
That would be awesome imo.

There was some dialogue in the tutorial I think they’ll expand on.

Something along the lines of the Infinity and Chief disappearing.

The intro cutscene to the campaign has the Infinity and Halo ring near a planet. But when you play the game the planet is nowhere, so they all must’ve slipspace jumped somewhere while Chief was out.

Im up for that. I love the chiefs adventures but one thing i really enjoyed about Reach and Spartan ops was the fact that its your spartan in the story.

Im a fan of the SPARTAN-III’s so iv always classed my spartan as one and carried on from reach to spartan ops and now just waiting for the next campaign

Its not really related to Call of Duty in comparison if you think that’s what they are trying to follow. Many F2P games do this such as Fortnite, Apex Legends, Valorant, Destiny 2, and plenty more. Its just an idea to keep players engaged and expanding the universe without always creating a new campaign.

Just cutscenes and “story themed events”.
I don’t know why 343 keeps insisting on making multiplayer some sort of canon. Aside from “training” that’s all that’s needed. Everything else does not matter, so what’s the point?
