Is there no secondary weapon icon in the HUD?

As I’ve been watching videos of Halo 4 gameplay I can’t seem to see any icon on the HUD that indicates what you have equipped as your secondary weapon. Am I missing it?

I get the feeling that a noob like me is going to forget what I have as my secondary…lol.

So there isn’t an icon then. Bummer.

As a side note: I personally don’t think that a smaller, grayed out weapon icon on the HUD would have been too cluttery. It would have fit nicely up there in that top right corner.

Thanks for the info. That was the exact type of read I needed to help make sense of my earlier confusion. Although if the the silhouettes are meaningless then why not provide the secondary weapon info with text?

I guess now I’m just hoping that the removal of the icon “will streamline” my experience as he says and make me better rather than attempting to “get used to it” with possible mixed results.

I guess we’ll see come November.

Only negative thing about this is that it takes away the notification that your secondary weapon has no ammo/needs to reload.
