I come here often and read what people have to say, but this will be my first post. I just have to put this out there… My theory is that they haven’t displayed all the REQs this time. What if they intend to release more as a surprise next community update. Think about it… Not many of the REQs are blurred this time, in fact, most of them are out right shown or blatantly obvious. There is a Brute Plasma Rifle and not a regular one, it would make more sense to have the regular plasma rifle and then the brute as an uncommon variant. There is also the weapon skins that have already been available in the Spartans armory packs. They don’t normally announce when they are releasing special REQs into the wild, not like this anyway… Finally there are the mistakes. One weapon is listed twice, another is shown as a SMG when it clearly says underneath “DMR”. Are they just using those as fillers to trick us? I know the Oni REQ will be a Falcon and the Mythic has to be a machine gun… Last week they talked about “Malignant”, “Nerve Center”, and “R.I.P.tide” and this week they only mention “Stasis”… Anyway I’d be happy with infection, the falcon, and the plasma rifle, but there’s only one more update left and I’d like to see the rest of the game types like king of the hill and race as well as Forge World.
I’d hope that’s the case. I don’t know why they didn’t show the other re-forged arena maps they are using for infection that you stated. They also didn’t put in the forged from scratch infection map (which looks pretty good), since 343i hasn’t been hesitant to put forge maps into their content reveals before (Battle of Shadow and Light/Cartographer’s Gift).
Only time will tell.
R.I.P.tide is one of many slightly-modified maps purely for Infection. I believe they said every map would have an infection variant, so they wouldn’t need to list them all on the req reveal. They didn’t when they made every map assault-compatible.
They also dont have any of the armor variants like the flaming emile armor…hmmm this seems fishy
