I was wondering if anyone know if we will have ranked system playlist that have level 1-50 like it was in halo 2 and halo 3. I surely hope so.
Also, Do you guys know if we will have custom search playlist where we can join people random game instead of asking them for invites which is pain in the butt.

No. 1-50 was confirmed to be out a while ago.
However, there will be some kind of skill-based matchmaking system, just not 1-50.

So, there wont be 1-50. I’m sure millions of players out there will be upset about it which I’m one of them. 343 is making one of the biggest mistake because high percent of people out there like to play ranked system than social playlist.

There will still be a skill-based rank. We just don’t know what kind yet.
Also, 343i is (in concept) doing high-level competitives a favor. 1-50 had MASSIVE amounts of boosting.
And before anyone says “But I never had a problem with boosters!!!” Let be be the first to say that according to many statistics, you are in the minority of 40s-50s.
There will be a progression and skill based ranking system according to 343i, they confirmed a while ago that there’d be no 1-50 ranking system. :S
There will be no 1 - 50. Maybe a new ranking system however.

There has been no information on whether or not a custom game search will be implemented.
Nope.
It will not be 1-50, but, we are speculating that it will be a letter-number system, aliken to that of Soul Caliber V. I cannot find it at the moment, but there is a video floating around out there that shows Frankie reaching the rank of “A-5”; this rank, A-5, was also set APART from the progression bar! That is an important fact to keep in mind.
Now, the letter-number system may not be official, but it is, at the very least, a place holder for whatever quantitative system they are using. Also remember that it has been confirmed that there will be a system that shows skill, as well (that could be very well be a nod to the letter-number system we saw and currently speculate).

there is no 1-50. the community bungie and 343 all recognized it had severe problems such as boosting and de ranking.
secondly there is no custom search confirmed.
third there will be 2 types of “ranking systems” an upgraded version of reaches where a player is rewarded heavily for playing the objective and kills ETC. The second being some type of skill ranking system involving letters and numbers. we don’t know how it will work yet.
lastly please don’t post flame bait. We all know that 343 is in no way shape or form “infinity ward V2.” they have already put much more time and effort into the game. they have been listening to feedback from the community. They went to MLG and had them play to get advice for a competitives view. Regardless of your view on MLG there gametypes are highly known as balanced.
So they are nothing like infinity ward. Please have a good day sir.

Ranked and “social” was a halo 3 thing. People need to get out of that mindset.
visible fiddys are never coming back. But there certainly will be a skill matching system, its called trueskill, it ranks you with a hidden number from 1 to 50 and all xbox games are required to use it. Do you know what the H3 system was? It just displayed the hidden numbers, thats all. It was not a great system, in fact bungie themselves called making the numbers visible “like pouring sand into a wonderful engine” or words to that effect.
Separate from that, there will be a reach style progression system most probably.

It was better than what we had in Reach… which was… nothing.
