is there going to be future updates for halo 5 ?
Well they did announce a 4K update for later this year I believe so that could be it.
Other than the 4k update, I’m pretty sure 343 will have something up their sleeve. We won’t be getting Halo 6 until maybe 2019. This means we will go two years without anything new? Unacceptable!
Probably more weapon skins instead of the Brute Chopper.
Halo Wars 2, despite not being an FPS, is 343 Industries’ primary focus right now.
Like we saw at E3, they haven’t announced any new content for Halo 5.
I personally think all we’re going to get is a few seasonal playlists.

Black weapons skins and bayonet assassinations are the last things I’d like to have in Halo 5.
If either of those gets added in future, I’ll be completely satisfied with Halo 5’s content regarding cosmetic items.
There might be considering there is no news about halo 6 so that could be a long wait but since halo wars 2 is the newest game it’s likely to have more updates however halo 5 could still have small updates like more weapon skins, more armour and maybe a few more weapons. They will probably also have some more playlists as well.

We don’t know when the next Halo game is coming out. Halo 6 could come out next year.

Halo 6 = vaporware. At best, Halo 6 will follow Duke Nukem Forever’s lifecycle and be stuck in developers limbo for at least 10
years… you’ll be playing Halo 6 on your Xbox6 in 2026. Halo 6’s release date confirmed : 6.6.26

Maybe… Maybe not… We don’t know that. Personally, I’ve never like Microsoft strategy (or other companies) of announcing a game that isn’t coming out for years. Maybe they now think it’s not good to try and hype a game for years, who knows… Regardless, the facts are unless you work for 343I or MS, none of us know. We can only speculate

yes WE do know, those of us with jobs that have some tie in to the video game industry, from gaming journalists to GameStop employees who not only have to take pre orders, but the computer systems have to be setup, etc, etc, etc, video games just don’t pop out of thin air, there is A LOT that has to happen, not just tthe devs finishing the game before a game launches. You don’t know what you are even talking about and even Phil Spencer said there wouldn’t be any Halo 6 until holiday season 2018 at the earliest, and that’s just him speculating and trying to come up with something to tell the press why no Halo 6 this past E3. Maybe someyhing will be shown next E3, but it’'ll just be first snippet, its not likely to ship to stores next holiday, and Most certainly not this holiday season.

For the record, it does happen. Sega for example back in the day, announced there Sega Saturn console at E3 and it was out THAT E3! No one knew about it, no one was told (Not a great move but just saying) the point is it happens, and there doesn’t need to be years notice to companies before a game comes out. The point also is, yes even Phil said the earliest would be holiday season for 2018. So it’s NOT ruled out. I also never even said anything about this year, so don’t put words in my mouth please, I don’t appreciate it. I never said Halo was coming out this year either, I said UNLESS you work for them (Do you??? It doesn’t sound like it…) we don’t know. I have friends who work at places like GameStop actually (one is a district manager) and a cousin who works for Ubisoft. I’m very aware of the process that goes into making a game, marketing it, etc thanks.
So relax, have a beer or something, if your old enough, and stop trying to talk down/attack me. If this is how you discuss things, this Conversation is over.

There is going to be some sort of content with the 4k update I bet. I would not expect much but will more likely be some stuff.
