well considering we have only seen few things for halo4 probably not and I would understand why. I want to build up as much anticipation for it as I can. I would rather have more trailers than gameplay footage.

I would too, but a beta would still be nice.
Probably. Reach had a beta. But you might have to have the Anniversy for Halo to play it.
I think its to early to start discussing when the beta is released. But if I had to say something, it’ll probably before a few months before the release of Halo 4.
Halo 4 without a beta? kidding me? 
there will be one absolutely, and I think (my guess) it’ll come around may or june.
Hopefully, betas provide invaluable feedback on issues such as balance and glitches so that the retail version can be as polished as possible.
It would be nice if they have one.

They haven’t confirmed any details yet except that it won’t be included in CEA

At this time, I don’t see how MS will bundle the Halo 4 beta with any other game. Not trying to turn this into a fanboy war, but MS doesn’t really have any good games they can bundle the beta with. So far the only games coming out next year under Microsoft publishing is Ryse and Fable. And I kind of doubt their going to bundle it with Fable. And we still don’t know what the hell Ryse is about other than the fact it’s a Kinect game.
So at the moment, until MS announces some new games that might have the beta (if there ever is one) included, then downloading the beta off the marketplace is the only option left.
