I actually don’t recall ever talking about the armor placement on here before.

From a lore standpoint I kind of question how so many production models of “the most expensive piece of technology humanity has ever created” can even exist.
Looking at it from that standpoint it makes even less sense that it wouldn’t be customized on a Spartan-to-spartan basis depending on body type.
But, from a designer standpoint it means they don’t need to make 3 copies of every single armor piece in the game. Saving on production cost and time when armor is added to the game.
Well for Spartan IVs they’re custom made cause without augments turning them all into 7 foot giants they can’t roll with a one size fits all approach
From a designer standpoint they’ve done 2 different armors for 2 games and this time around they have far more time and money to do it

Only reason I can think of is that the devs wanted to make less work for themselves. They would have needed to create 3 separate versions of each armor piece if they they tailored them for each body type, so instead they keep the armor the same size on all 3 body types and just have body type change the tiny bit of undersuit you can see in the gaps of the armor. It’s disappointing for sure and feels somewhat lazy on the devs part, especially considering what they are charging for armor sets in this game (a whopping $18).

It’s nice you feel more included. I’m happy for you. More include is always good. And maybe type 0 and 2 aren’t terribly bad with how armor fits. But you can see behind certain pieces of armor you clearly weren’t meant to with with type 1. The armor very clearly doesn’t fit. And especially considering Mark V [B], which we’ve seen had smaller sizes to accommodate the more slender Spartan IIIs, I think it’s silly that they now have armor that doesn’t fit.
And I doubt how their doing armor is going to stop hitbox debates. Do you see how different in size Yoroi is from Mark V [B]? And these are just the launch cores. Long term I doubt type 1 having ill fitting armor will stop hitbox debates.
