While contemplating on what my weapon of choice would be for Halo 4, I wondered about what the Assault Carbine was. I’ve enjoyed using all the main weapons from previous games (BR DMR AR) but I’m starting to feel starved for the info on the AC.
So that’s my query. Has anyone got hold of any new info yet? I mostly want to know how it will differ from the AR, or whether it will make the AR obsolete/vice-versa.
We know nothing but the weapon name at this time.
No new info. I pray it resembles the Halo CE PR though.
I don’t have a source but i read somewhere that it was a replacement for the plasma repeater and plasma rifle.
I’ve heard it suggested that the AC is a replacement for the SMG. Some have said it may be something similar to the weapon seen on the cover of Ghosts of Oynx.
Don’t have any links but I’m pretty sure I remember one of the MLG players who saw a glimpse of the campaign say that during the end of the campaign demo there was an elite shooting with something but the demo ended just before the dude picked it up . . .
So I’m pretty sure it’s the new alien assault rifle.

Yeah but surely if multiplayer is Spartan only, we wouldn’t get the choice to start with a covenant weapon? Plus it sounds like a human weapon.
This is a Halo game after all, you’ll have to wait a long time to get more then hints and teases at news
