I managed to finally play this game and I think I played about six, of which I lost each and every one, most by a considerable amount.
It’s rather annoying to be getting back into this game, still being unable to find games with my friends, forcing me to play solo, only to be matched up against people who can go 20-1 consistently.
Aside from the bad player matchup, my feedback regarding this beta is as follows;
Truth is too dark, and hard to tell where you spawn on map after death.
AR is OP.
We REALLY need proximity waypoints over precision weapons, my first few games consisted of me looking for a BR or DMR, and after learning where some of the weapons are, they are often gone when I try and get one.
Snipers suck on Empire, I’d feel shotguns should take the sniper spots and a neutral rocket be placed in.
Two maps are super boring after 5 games, especially with just slayer.
Your map problem should be fixed with weeks 2 and 3 of the beta. Also, the rocket launcher (or possibly hydra) might appear on Empire when they add in more power weapons next week. I’ve heard that about the AR.
And on the question of Truskill, I believe there is at least a similar system in place (could be wrong, though).

They’re adding maps, gamemodes, and even weapons in the next weeks. I’m not sure of the exact editions, but I’m pretty sure we get 4 new maps, new power weapons, BR starts and Breakout (new game mode) for week 2. For week 3, i think we get one more map, and Strongholds (new game mode).
The ranking is similar to that of Counter Strike. You play 10 games without a rank. Based on your performance in those 10 games you are given a rank within a tier. It is almost identical to trueskill but instead of a basic 50 numbers, those numbers are sorted into skill-groups. Though it’s still possible to come across people slightly out of your skill-group.

Not saying I don’t believe you, but could you cite a source? I’ve been wanting to read up on H5’s ranking system myself.
